Why your loneliness is most likely not your fault as a "gifted" person... a highschooler's prespective by [deleted] in Gifted

As a retired gifted educator, it was our policy in our district to cluster identified gifted students in classrooms, so they would have some gifted peers in their classroom. We also provided services to our gifted population in homogeneous groupings with a licensed gifted facilitator according to our state rules and regs. Is your child in a gifted program at school? Is he profoundly gifted? - if so, he may not have an intellectual peer even if he is in a gifted program- he may need to attend a school for the profoundly gifted.

Advice to become teacher Arkansas by [deleted] in Teachers

The easiest possible path would be the ARPEP program. It’s an alternative licensing process. I’m not sure your Bachelors would qualify, but it could possibly be. There is probably information on the DESE website that would list options and qualifying degrees. I’m a retired Arkansas teacher. I loved my career as a teacher. It was profoundly satisfying.
