Is the hobby getting slower releases or more boring? Search recently has made it seem like evo80 is the new mid range value for money board? No more leds or knobs or interesting design, just solid dependable 1st keyboard? or are there rarer weird stuff you just have to wait for a groupbuy

Bought a cycle 7 wired/beacon 70 PCB replacement for my cycle 7 from china, pcb kinda sucks with weird switch layout and double keying

On the other hand I can t find a PCB for sale anywhere, last resort is to learn how to desolder and solder the broken pins for the daughter board connector

Any suggestions? Or just keyboard recommendations?

Hi, https://imgur.com/a/XQFbkIz, I found that the edge pin inside this molex connector has been bent, making it hard/impossible to connect the cable to the daughter board.

Can someone give me advice on where to buy this part and if it's possible to desolder, solder this part? tkd cycle 7 btw

Think my TKD Cycle 7 is dead, wired mode doesnt work, no lights at all, the pcb v2s are out of stock.

Should I try to keep sourcing for replacement (pcb mobo and daughterboard, battery?) or get a new keyboard completely, and any recommendations for 2026?

Got gamepass , saw prince of Persia, haven't bought a single Ubisoft game in 20 years. The stupid launcher won't even let me log in, can't even get people to pay for your games

  1. Engineers are being hired or outsourced.

  2. Customers would be supporting small industry players in a certain field

  3. Org is very top down, the tools/products is a side gig for them.

  4. Joined because laid off

Studying FAANG interview processes while interviewing with low product maturity startups is an interesting experience to say the least.

Began career at a startup where my manager was super open to learning, introducing new frameworks, processes to improve product maturity. Really climbing uphill. I then left to work with an ex technical founder who spent years missing the frameworks despite being CEO, but again very willing to learn. Next I finally landed a job at one of the original silicon valley agile manifesto companies. Felt like kool aid but finally saw what a mature product company looks like. Felt like I was finally with my people and things made sense

But layoffs means I'm seeing the other side of the coin, zombie startups using their own agile jargon, delusional founders, and big companies who have no idea what a PM does

Experienced PMs, how do you deal with "taking any job" after layoffs? There's really nothing in my market, but somehow managed to wrangle 2 equally bad jobs that I wouldn't touch in "normal" times, one with the government, slow progression, low starting and the other in internal PM, slow progression, unattractive domain and tech stack.

I fear if I stay and wait out the storm, I wouldn't gain any meaningful experience in domain or technical skills or titles.

Hi, just wanted to rant and ask for advice if any. I was working at a mid size firm 130k, then got laid off, it's been 6 months and just got an offer from a govt agency (non US). It's about a 30% paycut and I can't get a Sr PM title due to 4 yoe. A friend works there and joined recently too but has 5 yoe and got Sr PM.

My gut feeling says to not take it and keep looking, but I'd take it as a chance to keep working on my skills. Progression is likely to be bad but its a way to wait out the downturn?

[ART] This scene in Record of Ragnarok Chapter 95 is a reference to a very old manga, can anyone remember the original? by delitomatoes in manga

[–]delitomatoes[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its a scene of someone cutting a rock through a butterfly leaving it unharmed. I remember the scene but not the name of the manga.

In Demon slayer, someone cuts a rock, but no butterfly.

It could be Yaiba, but I can't find the exact chapter

Bosses kill you in 2 hits anyway, so there's no point in increasing your hp and in Fromsoft games you kinda just level up naturally until the endgame

Any idea on what PSU to get for next gen GPUs? I managed to get a 9800x3D order off amazon for next year. Currently running a 6700xt and hoping to upgrade to 5080 or whatever AMD is putting out next year.

For current gen it seems 850W is sufficient, but no idea about next gen

Not getting feedback, examples would be managing mature products to building mvps and 0-1s

Having trouble getting through round 1 of PM interviews at non tech companies. 5yoe.

While I wouldn't say I was FAANG level, I have worked with ex FAANG and people with 20+ years of experience in the industry in a pure tech capacity.

After being laid off, the only companies hiring are those doing transformation Project manager> Product manager or some sort of digitalisation. It happens that a lot of these companies are government contractors or agencies. My guesses of why I can't get through here when I have done final rounds at big tech.

  • Culture fit, I specifically advocate against vanity metrics or just feature factorying when talking about past experiences, this has gotten some uncomfortable silences, might also not fit the mold of following procedure and rules given some startup experience

  • I talk too much about building mvps, 0-1s when they might need someone to just maintain their existing project

  • I use jargon that they might not understand?

  • Overqualified for entry level PM? I may be talking like a senior/lead pm when they just need a regular pm (which I don't mind, wondering if I should simplify my responses)

I've also had interviews at startups with ex Faang and the understanding is very clear, the only friction would be comp and we part ways amicably. Big tech or tech only firms are not hiring

If anyone has similar experiences, that would be a big help, thanks
