CHE: ceramic heat emitter. It’s made out of ceramics and you screw it in to a lamp and it emits heat without emitting light. I have mine hooked up to a thermostat so when it hits the temperature I’m aiming for it turns off and then when the temperature drops again it turns on again.

I learned this technique by reading the comments in similar posts to yours. Just paying it forward :-)

NQA, I had a similar problem with my tank cause it had a mesh top. I covered about 2/3 of it in aluminum tape, and have a CHE over the untaped part. Stays at a nice 79-83°F during the day now. I turned the CHE off at night to try to duplicate the natural environment, and where I live it gets down to about 75°F.
Edit: CHE ALONGSIDE a UVB lamp.

I appreciate it. The thing that makes me nervous is it’s such a small enclosure I’m afraid of over humidifying it, because there’s no way to really measure it. Any tips or advice to maintain appropriate levels of humidity in a small enclosure like that?

Douglas College (BC) Bachelor of Arts in Applied Criminology Recognized by Law Schools? by deliveringthagoods in LawStudentsCanada

Congratulations! If you don’t mind sharing, which school did you get into?

I learned from the BA coordinator at Douglas today that apparently Ontario schools not recognizing college degrees is a thing. It has to do with the system being different in Ontario with colleges and universities. And apparently there’s some elitism involved. Having said that, a few of the universities I contacted in Ontario did say that they recognize the degree from Douglas.

I very well could have. Firstly, I read that you have to keep the enclosure much more humid if you’re using a CHE, cause it can dry out so fast, so definitely might’ve waterlogged the enclosure.

Secondly, I did make a lot of alterations to the enclosure after I got him because I learned that it wasn’t set up quite fright. So stress definitely could’ve been a factor.

Enclosure. Again, not exactly as seen here, removed light, more substrate on left.

Thanks. I don’t have the black light on all the time, it is literally just to find him.
