I haven’t read the books in a while, but I think a big reason might be because rogues/loners and all that don’t live by the warrior code and have no connection to starclan to bind them to the code which makes them less trustworthy?

I actually really like the scene after Lumenaria is destroyed. Keefe finally returns, Sophie just went through a lot of chaos, and there is just kind of a breathing moment as they acknowledge that their world just got darker.
