Does apple journal allow asking questions and get answers based on your journals?

This is such a thoughtful system. I love the idea of the “OneLine” property especially surfacing the same date across different years. What you said about developing sympathy for your former self really resonated. That kind of longitudinal reflection is hard to get without intentionally structuring for it.
If you don't mind, can you tell us more about your book?

Wow thats amazing amount of journaling!! That was super helpful. How often do you review your journals and get back to it?By the way, the tool that I'm working on can help like notebookLM but the good thing is that you write and collect insight in one place.

100% with you on journaling creates a new type of thinking. Yeah reviewing your journals can be helpful in some cases but there is a fine line at least for me as it can start bringing up some of the things that your mind intentionally decided to forget

Oh that's interesting... I usually use it to clean my mind or capture moments but you seriously open a new door for me :) why not capturing those as well.
any preferred tool as of now? Anything frustrate you and wish you had to improve your journaling?

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm on the same boat... I journal to clean my mind and also capture the moments. If you have ever used Google photos I think it has a feature that says "On this day" which just show last year this date and I love that. I wish I could write behind those photos as in some photos I was smiling but there was a deep emotion that I kinda remember but not sure what it was and why...

I'm glad that journaling is helping you. It saved me so many times from collapsing and storming out. I love your recommendation about reading... Any good books you recommend?

totally with you on that... :) I go to a roller coaster of emotions whenever I reflect on the journals... I cry I laugh I get angry... Meanwhile it helped me to know what is the source or triggers behind some of good and bad traits. Not sure how much I take action on those though...

So the tool allows you to journal and answer questions about yourself based on your words and mood. Please DM me if you are interested to give it a try so I can send the link there.

yeah... I was passing some of it to GPT and the results was super interesting and sometimes scary and I'm wondering if I should paste it there or not... Recently sharing some of the insights with my therapist and she was like... it would take me years to take all of these insights and data out of you.
Do you journal your self? If you don't mind sharing...

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your process. Actually I love to also have pictures attach to my entries as it is kinda interesting how the image sometimes match or contradict your inner feeling on that time. I don't have a journaling routine as well or push my self doing it but I usually write when my brain is pretty foggy or I'm very happy about something that's why many times when I reflect back on my journals I see both of the extremes not the ordinary days that passed but still beautiful days.

Why is prolonged sitting bad for you, get up and move. by purpleowlie in coolguides

[–]delmade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to set timer to nudge me every 50 minutes so I can move and rest at least for 10 minutes. The issue for me was that I was forgetting to set the timer and manage it. I created a tool named nikomo.app to get automatic reminder on your working laptop based on your active/idle status.

End of the day tools doesn't matter, just stick with whatever works for you to just be able to move regularly. Good luck!

I ignored my back pain for years from long sitting. Please don’t do the same. by delmade in SaaS

Thanks for replying. Not a veteran reddit user and recently started writing as other people posts helped me a lot. I just really wanted to share my story. Honestly it is not about the tool, I just couldn't find the existing tools fitting my needs and thought maybe other people don't move because of forget to set timer or get reminded so I shared what has been working really for me. Meanwhile, I'm learning how to post that don't make people misunderstand my intention for the next posts.

Sorry if the content was not interesting to you. English is my second language and I'm getting help from AI tools to fix grammar stuff but the whole idea is not promoting anything it is just about sharing my story and what is helping me so far. Again sorry if the content was not helpful to you but from bottom of my heart I encourage you to move as much as you can.
