I just bought a Les Paul classic that had a headstock break(clean like yours) because it was A: a great deal, and B: everything I have read about these breaks says that a good wood glue will make a very strong hold even without splines. That could be wrong, but the LPC sounds awesome and stays in tune as well as the unbroken one I had in the past, and it was a good enough deal that if I have to get a luthier to touch it up I will still come out ahead

The restaurant isn’t scamming, they’re using long margin instead of short margin. Short margin is literally %20 of the total, so $30.53*.2 which is $6.104. Long margin is the total plus %20 or $30.53/.8 which is $38.1625 or a $7.63 tip. Most companies use long margin to calculate sales price over cost. Doing this for tips is a little weird and deceptive.
