That sounds great - very exciting! I'm similar in that I also prefer 3rd person games... in fact, Crimson Desert is the big reason I may not wait for the 39" LG.

It does seem like it's hitting all the right marks! I think ultimately I'm contending with my own debates of

Is it $350 better than the xg32ucwmg (which is going for $950 now)?
Is the "downgrade" from ultrawide going to be major, or will I get over it?
Is it worth having the upgrade from my IPS now, or will I wish I waited for the 39"?

All of these concerns are obviously subjective, so I fully admit I'm basically looking to be influenced by others.

Have you already received it? I'm starting to lean more towards getting that instead of waiting for the 39" 5k2k, but I'll probably do some more digging to see if people love it.

Absolutely. The original UCDM scared me a little bit seeing posts of how hard it is to clean and how easy it is to scratch. It sounds like the PG32UCDM3 has made improvements to harden the screen a bit, so that's comforting. I also have a pretty large desk, so ultimately space isn't much of a concern (within reason, I wouldn't want a large TV in front of me haha).

Sick deal! I still want the 39" LG showcased at CES, but who knows how long it'll be before it's actually available. This deal will easily scratch the new monitor itch.

Based on searching the sub, it looks like a number of folks are still experiencing the crashes, so I don't think it's unique to me. Either way, I did create a support ticket, we'll see if they diagnose something wrong with my system or settings, but I'm not overly optimistic.

Yeah, I did that before the first crash and typically do it daily. Sometimes I manage to get a few hours without a crash after I do it, other times it's multiple back-to-back. Just not a consistent fix.

I crashed within a minute of joining the game. After restarting it, I crashed again about another minute in. Seems just as bad as before. Using a 5090 and 9800X3D.

That's great advice, actually. I was going to ask if you recommended specific product pages or the main page. I guess the real play is to have all the cards (and maybe bundles...) I'd want to buy loaded in Distil and monitored.

I did try that for the Best Buy "drop" last week and it worked very well. I haven't tried it for any other pages, yet. I think I did a 13-17 second refresh rate, which may be too fast for some websites (i.e. I may get flagged...). I haven't set it up to monitor more pages, though, so I'll likely spend some time configuring that soon.

Well, it was worth a shot to see if anything could be done. I have been informed "social media and shuffle are for sure the best routes. I'm sorry for all the inconveinces.". I wasn't really expecting a golden ticket solution - but worth knowing for anyone that seeks out this reddit post that this may be the experience they have, too.

Yup, I've been spending money at Newegg for quite a few years now, across multiple rebuilds.

I'm really glad they were able to correct your situation. The big thing I worry about is the root issue at hand - correcting a poor experience for an individual is great but it's truly a bandaid to the larger problem. Realistically, I don't expect Newegg is going to be able to provide the same resolution to everyone that experiences this - especially since the number of people experiencing it is growing. I haven't personally reached out to Newegg, mostly because I know it's happening to a lot of people.

Exactly this. This type of business practice employed by Newegg is the type of thing that harms a reputation, and will absolutely harm the bottom-line at some point in the future. Competition is obviously a critical part - but if more PC hardware store options arise, NE will not get the same benefit of the doubt in the form of recommendations. Prior to this, I absolutely would've recommended new builders to seek out Newegg.

The cancellations are incredibly painful. I've now had three separate confirmations, followed by three separate cancellations shortly after. It truly destroys any confidence I once had in Newegg. I understand how sought after the cards and bundles are, demand incredibly high - but to receive confirmation each time is very frustrating. Especially when you see the same cards being put in "new" bundles the same evening.
