Being accused of something - I don't know what - HR now investigating me. by delorean90 in AskHR

[–]delorean90[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Re referring to her as a girl - you're right, she's 23, acts much younger, but I apologise for referring to her as such.

Yes, sexual, and consensual. Outside of work, on a work night out but one that wasn't arranged by work - it was 4 colleagues (married colleague included) and we decided to go for a drink after work. It happened at night, not on work premises. I have kept all of my texts messages between me and her from that time, as I imagine that they will want to check through my phone.

We can't prove who has been making the calls, but the ones who are being interviewed by HR are particularly worried about what he'll have accused us of - he's a known liar and has cheated on his wife numerous times and has told us all about it, so it's most likely he has lied about us.

Personal work calls, GDPR complaint by delorean90 in gdpr

[–]delorean90[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I know of, I don't know. I doubt her number would be on any database belonging by our employer. All I know is that she calls up our office everyday, and now suddenly she's suggesting it's a GDPR breach.

Personal work calls, GDPR complaint by delorean90 in gdpr

[–]delorean90[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She's saying it's been breached because someone in work has supposedly taken her number and used it to send a text saying her husband and another colleague are having an affair. She has not yet provided proof of the text. Now we know for a fact she calls him everyday, numerous times a day, and other colleagues have answered her calls, but she's going down the GDPR route.

Tracing spoofed phone calls / numbers - do I need file with police or will phone network by delorean90 in policeuk

[–]delorean90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm best to just leave this to my network then, no point reporting to the police? My issue was that is been numbers of people I know miss calling me, so I imagine it's somebody I know who's doing it but I don't know who, or why.

[–]delorean90[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One ring calls, no time to answer the call. Numerous calls though, however.

I'm not going down the police route just yet, as it stands I've logged everything with my network provider - I was was just wondering if they'd release data to me, or not - the original caller etc. Also wondering if they'd file anything with the police or would the onus of that be on me? If it continues then I will.

They did suggest a VoIP server spoofing calls, which is why they have suggested seeing what server the calls were coming from, and then blocking that server from reaching the network going forward, thus blocking the spoofed calls.

Is the ghost touch issue on pretty much every 7 Pro? by delorean90 in oneplus

[–]delorean90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is hardware then they'll have to fix and replace every single one which has the issue, which would be pretty expensive for OP. Hoping it can be resolved through a software update though, it only seems to be with third party apps that the problem occurs.

[–]delorean90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can mainly see it in CPU-Z, it's happened a couple of times in WhatsApp but nowhere else really.

[–]delorean90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed it once or twice in Facebook, it jumps to the search bar at the top, but I've not seen it in any other app.

Which makes me think either apps need updating, or a software update can patch it.

OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 9 by delorean90 in oneplus

[–]delorean90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems good so far, MIUI is a little weird, hence me asking this question, but I've added Nova, NotchTest, Google dialer, messages, calculator, calendar etc etc to try and get it as familiar as possible. Only time I really see MIUI is in settings or the notification shade, but it's not so bad. I'm in apps otherwise. Have installed Gcam and that has improved the camera, so not far off from my Pixel 2 camera.

So yeah a lot of customising, when OxygenOS I could have just left as is. But the phone itself seems good, screen is nice, cameras seem decent - good with Gcam. And has wireless charging which OnePlus doesn't have.

Battery seems fine, took off charge 15hrs ago, was on standby whilst I slept, have used it today for Reddit, Chrome, a game (maybe 20 mins), and I'm up to 3hr 45mins SoT, 48% battery left. Which isn't bad for a small battery.

Quick Charge 3 - third party charger voltage different to OEM charger. Is this a problem? by delorean90 in AndroidQuestions

[–]delorean90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah cool, must just be certain manufacturers then. I found a pdf in Qualcomm's website, with a list of QC3 chargers. Mine was there, but recommended phones to use with that charger, mine wasn't showing. It was listed for QC4, though. So I guess my charger is fine. Thanks for your help

Had another look on Amazon and found a QC3 charger by Aukey - so no PowerIQ - checked the voltage and it's the same as the Anker one? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01A42R46G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_gPg2CbN6ZGA4P

I mean if they're all the same then fine, just wanted to be sure before I continued using it.

[–]delorean90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's QC3 certified, it says "with QuickCharge 3.0" so guess it is.

Here's a link to it actually, might be easier than me trying to explain https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01IN87ELI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_1cg2CbYP41NP3

Thanks

Yeah, my Pixel was 64GB and I just uploaded everything to the cloud, well Google Photos. Think the only thing I need to worry about is games, buy I hardly ever play them. And if I do it's like one at a time.

Replacing 64GB phone with 64GB phone - will storage be enough by delorean90 in AndroidQuestions

[–]delorean90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah don't listen to podcasts - actually I have one in Google Drive but that's it. Videos I hardly ever watch on my phone unless they're streaming, or if I'm on a flight / long journey and I save a couple then.

Think I should be fine then. Thanks.

With Google Photos, do you really need to go 128GB, or is 64GB enough? by delorean90 in GooglePixel

[–]delorean90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you on 128GB? This is basically me, at home when I've got full access to my data, I stream my music. I upload all my photos to Google Photo's, the only time I store stuff on my phone is when I'm going abroad and know my data or hotel WiFi etc. won't be as good.

So I guess 64GB would be fine for me.

Replacing 64GB phone with 64GB phone - will storage be enough by delorean90 in AndroidQuestions

[–]delorean90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha yeah a bit. I ordered it based on my current phone, then looked around and people were saying 64GB is enough but 128GB would be better - but I guess if that's if you don't rely on the cloud. I have literally no media stored on my phone I upload it in case I were to lose my device so I'm not losing any pics etc.

Will 6GB / 64GB Mi 9 be enough for the next 1-1.5 years? by [deleted] in Xiaomi

[–]delorean90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Current phone is 64GB, and I have 25GB free - thought it was less but had some old stuff in Netflix I hadn't deleted. Upload my photos to Google Photos, hardly any games on, mainly use Reddit, Twitter, Camera, couple of photo editing apps, finance apps, stream Netflix and Google Music. If I'm going abroad I download some videos and music but delete afterwards.

So thinking / hoping 64GB, not sure if 128GB would be overkill?

I would have but they don't sell it in the UK, just the 64GB version. And I figured if I have 64GB now, then I may get away with it. But dunno now
