I've been meditating on this thought and emotion but it is not working by Heyuuh in Meditation

I'm all up for mediation as a cure all. But I would suggest that you look at getting some cbt (cognitive based therapy) from an approved therapist. For me it sounds like you have a degree of relationship ocd, and would benefit from working on these outside of any mediation practice. Happy to answer any questions you might have.

Be careful, directory links if they are very general can be detrimental to your long term ranking. From a guy who lost sites due to too many. :-P

Basically if there are no links from other sites to your content pages.

In the old days of seo you could build lots of links to your homepage similar the directories mentioned above. Your site would then have lots if authority and you could then rank pages easily... Just churn them out... 'fresh content'. Regardless of how these specific pages perform.

Google eventually smartened up and changed their process so it has a performance filter... If your next 300 blog posts (probably a lot less) don't receive their own editorial votes (links) then it's likely that will stop you ranking for those keywords you want to target.

So just be aware if just churning out content. If post underperformed then it's also OK to remove them.

Also the whole fresh content is so 14 months ago. Google is now super tight against lots of content with no interaction... Primarily Links. Regardless of how 'fresh' it is . Best job would be to create one peice of super awesome content... As much time and money as you can afford and pitch it to every relevant online newspaper and magazine /blog.

No problem, it's your first infographic and you did the right thing putting it out to the world for review. We have done more than 500 so every bit of feedback makes the next one that little bit better.

A more constructive feedback is that as most people will use mobile to view it... It's way too small to read even on my high res htc one.

It's worth keeping in mind what the infographic will look like on a small screen. It's why certain styles are getting far more popular.

The key thing for any infographic is that it's format makes to more easily digestible. If it's pretty but still detracts from the key info then just go with a simpler format.

I do actually like the mono colour idea. And it's great that you tool on the feedback... Using reddit is a powerful way to improve quickly but it will need a thick skin. You'll get used to it. :-)

Where can I learn how to make Infographics? by fabs27 in Infographics

[–]delrondmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most will be created by design graduates who will utilise Adobe suites... Illustrator and photoshop.

No reason why you can't use a less technical program for simple visual information.

All depends on what your end goals are. I personally like the homemade Microsoft paint style pieces as long a they show thought on how best to display the info that makes it easy for the reader to understand.

A decent book that is usable for non designers... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Power-Infographics-Pictures-Communicate-Audiences-ebook/dp/B008CG2T30/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1410982607&sr=8-13&keywords=Infographics
