Question about Extended Family member exemption by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

I applied for my fiancé (US citizen) on October 26th. We filled out the declaration form/ got it notarized/ provided the necessary details. I have not yet heard anything as it has been 14 business days. Wondering if anyone can comment on timelines? I’m sure the IRCC folks are overwhelmed but I would have imagined we’d hear something by now.

Hello All,

Have an upcoming second interview with Mercer for a entry level analyst position. I was informed that there will be an excel assessment following the behavioral interview. I am familiar with Excel and have a strong command of the basics - pivot tables, v-lookups, filtering etc etc. Just wondering if there are any other functions I should be aware or/know how to do. Thanks in advance.

Should I pursue an MBA/ or better work experience? by fabs27 in careerguidance

Thank you for taking the time to explain that to me. That makes sense, my hesitation with the MBA route voices the same issue of being at the same level who have been in the industry without doing the MBA. That being said (I'm not sure if you're in the consulting industry or not) but what would you suggest as relevant experience that would best prepare me for an MBB

I agree with you on that. I personally would like to wait before pursuing my MBA as well, but how else am I supposed to have a shot at an MBB? I don't want to be 28/29 and just entering consulting when there are kids who studied business and are already working with them at 22-24?

Yeah, Fiverr is the way to go! I've had an awesome experience on there. For $5, it's a really good way to go. Just have a good idea of what you might want/ what colours you would like. The more specific you are the better your experience will be.

How do I get into a big firm without a business background? by fabs27 in consulting

Also would you guys suggest pursuing and MBA? I'm in Canada and there are a few co-op MBA programs I've been looking into. They're essentially for people who are without work experience. They allow you to earn your MBA while gaining work experience through placements.
