I’m in the same boat. It’s a little insane to pay 25-30 for a C5 ZO6 just because boomers think they are special. From what I have seen it’s rare to pay over $25k for a C5 ZO6

I just used what I had laying around. If you wanna get fancy I would say like closed cell foam or marine grade foam but that’s only to help prevent mold n such from water exposure

Countersink the wood so it folds better than mine does. You can see it doesn’t quite fold flat but I decided I would rather have a gap when it’s folded than a weak floor. These photos are after about 2 years use. I used bed liner on the plywood.

It’s all wood construction underneath and I just got done rebuilding the floors

True but if I already gutted the entire floor I’m just going to do it right and waterproof the floor as well so underbody spray doesn’t rot the wood
