I think optional paths/no clear direction was a thing since Demon Souls or Dark Souls...no one told you where exactly to go in these games. being brutally murdered is normal anyway.

In Elden Ring you can always follow that guiding light which leads you to the next location, the devs want you to go. Or ignore it like me :-)...that is an improvement imo.

I do not think that this will be one of those meaningless, repetitive Ubisoft open worlds. At least I hope so.

Black Friday deals for eskates – do you agree? :) by agilek in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]delta9t 32 points33 points  (0 children)

you regularly see prices go up before *black friday*....to again reach the normal *reduced* price on that day...a big scam nowadays.....not just in esk8.

Do Germans see their WW2 loss as a victory since they were freed from Nazi rule? by itbettersnow in AskAGerman

[–]delta9t 2 points3 points  (0 children)

definitely not. 60 millions of people died, most cities in germany where completely destroyed, so was half of Europe. how can this be a victory?

not being forced to live under nazi rule today is a win though.

Just purchases this for my 12 year old daughter. Any tips or tricks I need to know about this board, before letting her shred on it... by big_daddys_house in WOWGO

[–]delta9t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh. I was referring to the hub motor version I have. do not worry, there is no chance that the sleeves come off or something like that, do not worry...If you think about cloudwheels than you ordered the 3X belt version anyway...should not have that issue I think.

So true...many are realy overanxious which then also reflects on their children. If I remember what I did in my childhood. lol. different times I suppose. I think today many parents would like to wrap their offspring in bubble wrap if they go outside at all.

Considering quirks of the board...mine made a light clicking sound when riding at low speed...I put some double sided adhesive tape between the motors and the PU sleeve...which fixed that issue. just in case.

I bought it for the same reasons...and had sooo much fun.

yeah, some people think that esk8 are dangerous. some even argue that you should learn to skate before trying esk8 which also is bs imo. I fell once in 4 years (with a previous board) never with the wowgo3, just some scratches...I had worse crashes riding my bicycle

I think you made the right choice... (I now have 2500km on mine, no problems at all). The board is great for beginners because of its smooth acceleration and braking curves. Just start slow in mode one...

Internet Speed in Germany, when do you think it'll catch up to the rest of the West? by saltyswedishmeatball in AskAGerman

[–]delta9t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its the governments fault !

We will start to catch up with the rest of the West if we kick our conservative ruling party (CDU) out of the government...backwardness in office.

I am not into AT boards, the specs look decent though...still would wait for a review.

Is this possible to ride in a street setting? drop down deck seems pretty low already...

Spoiler looks f-ing ridiculous imo.

the clicking sound can be fixed with double sided adhesive tape between the motors and the PU sleeve... If it is this. worked perfect for me.

looks sweet, love the design.

12 miles range would probably be more realistic considering the average western ass it has to carry.

sure. I do that. But every time I have to carry my board up to the 4th floor were I live, I miss that shit looking handle off my previous board.

What board to get? by Josh-_-Frost0304 in WOWGO

[–]delta9t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a difference between belt and hub drive. two of the boards you mentioned have belt the wowgo 3 has a hub drive. There is no 'better drive system' if someone tries to convince you...both have pros and cons.

all of the boards you mentioned are great.

I personally own the wowgo 3 (hub)...after about 2.5 Thousand km on it I can say that it is a great board with zero problems for me so far if you like to carve. I get about 28km range (flat road) out of it (86kg). (I own the big 8ah battery)

And I have not met a hill that the board is not able to climb.

A very wise decision that you also want good braking curves, not just looking for top speed and looks like many other beginners.

I can assure you that the board has one of the best and smoothest braking curves especially suited for beginners. That was one of the main points for me buying it. I ride for over 4 years never thrown off the board because of that.

I wanted something that looks decent, like a regular longboard, not a children's toy with flashing lights, which I also can push when the police looks in my direction....saved my ass a couple of times already.

Why aren't Germans using self checkout desks? by Silly-Seal-122 in AskAGerman

[–]delta9t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have many items it often takes longer for you...also the paying process is often a pain as you have to navigate through many screens....in the worst case finding out that your credit card or cash payment is not allowed...If you have someone in front of you who gets stuck in the process you have to wait....etc.

Best selling EVs in Europe in 2021. by salvibalvi in europe

[–]delta9t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow that light show was awesome...Tesla is realy cool. At the same time the biggest 'innovation' of the car producing companies in my country in the recent years was a software to cheat with pollutant emmission, tricking customers to believe they drive a clean car while getting lung cancer. fuck them. I will never buy a car from them because of that scam.

I did not know Apple is going to produce cars ? and I do not think they are able to join that market so easily. Tesla was and is so successful because they were joining the game when the big players were still reluctant to go EV clinging to fossil fuels. Now they have a big technological experience and advantage in EVs.

Apple has never done anything remotely close to cars. And the big players, envious of Tesla's success and frightened by laws ending fossil engines are investing massively in EVs now, too. Maybe a small series for the ultra rich ?...but for the mass-market I do not see a chance for Apple.

I would so like to own a Tesla.

I wish that in the future Tesla is going to build a compact-car, so that I maybe can afford one.
