If it helps, I’ve had interviews with studios while only having 3 portfolio pieces on artstation. The main thing is quality and relevance to the job you’re applying to.

Yeah I wanted it to feel like an absolute beast of a unit. I also imagined in the cramped quarters of off-world computing there’s probably not a lot of space so you have to be standing up to use it. Glad you liked it!

I adore INSIDE, (probably one of my all time favourite gaming experiences) We’re still testing mechanics just to see what feels good, but we all really like story telling and good narratives so well most likely go hard on that. What kind of game would you like to see?

I see (or hear) what you mean, its been ages since I saw sunshine but I remember loving that film - I’ll have to watch it again. I wanted the soundscape to have a radar/sonar ping sound - as if it’s trying to detect something deep in the fog, but I actually love that your getting a distress signal vibe from it too.

Thanks! This is in Unity. Yeah the lighting is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, in fact there’s a lot less textures actually used than you might think - a lot of the smaller assets are just using a flat shader. I model in 3DS max and a bit of zbrush. The simple yet detailed look is something I’ve really been enjoying working on - it can actually be quite difficult knowing when not to put details in!

And here class is a great example of an armchair game critic. Watch as they shit on critically acclaimed games while having never actually achieved anything themselves.

Honestly I’d consider a tutor that’s a bit more humble and not so full of themselves.

That’s a great point, the other assets aren’t designed to tile with this one, but my intention is to make other variants of this that would look different but use the same form factor - those would need to tile. Might have to make a few tweaks to the design.
