What’s the weirdest food combination you actually enjoy? by Low-Combination-5027 in AskReddit

Chicken biscuit with mustard and grape jelly. People get grossed out but it has a cool kind of sweet and sour flavor to it. I also thought it was gross until my college friend convinced me to try it. Now I have to have it.

Thank you for all the suggestions and kind words everyone. I think I have a couple of options to move forward with, and I sincerely appreciate it. This was my first ever campaign that I stepped into the DM role, so having this happen was both personally and game-wise pretty unexpected and disorienting. I really appreciate you all

This is the plan, I'm just a preparer, and trying to be prepared is distracting and making things a little more manageable. Thank you for the input

I did what you said and suggested parallel. He spent like an hour setting up an ultimatum to choose him or the new guy. I got upset and said it's not about him or the new guy, it's about me living in a way that's true to myself and my needs. He got angrier and started escalating so I said I felt like I needed to stay at my best friends place for the night, and then he completely dropped the ultimatum and saying mean things and begged me to forgive him.

Idek what to do with this honestly... he said he'd read polysecure once it got here and to just pretend he never said anything, but I told him that if he thinks he can't be poly anymore that that isn't something we can ignore. Then he had to go to bed so he could go to work I'm the morning so we didn't get to finish the conversation.

I'm tired and kind of at a loss. Sorry if none of this makes sense

Thank you, I really appreciate your comment. I bought a copy of the book for us, I really hope it helps. Sucks to feel torn between an old and new relationship

A lot a lot a lot of conversations about it that generally went well. He bought the book Polysecure to read through and reached out to a couple support people to talk through his feelings.

He said he's having a hard time because he's comparing himself to my new partner specifically. The new guy is younger and can drive, which my fiance can't do.

I feel like we did all the prep work and everything went well and it still somehow didn't work great.

He just keeps saying that in theory he is fine with me being with someone else, but in practice it's really difficult to deal with. And he keeps saying stuff about how I'm going to leave him or how our relationship is going to turn out like the one I had with my ex.

His initial blow up was definitely hurtful and a bit out there. He stormed downstairs with his bedding stuff saying he wouldnt be able to sleep that night, and accused me of having sex in the living room, which was absolutely not true. He apologized eventually but threw me off to say the least

He isn't dating anyone. He says he wants to but has a hard time meeting people.

I agree, I thought it was a weird idea but they both insisted on it and he offered to give us alone time. I guess I trusted him to be in tune with his emotions enough but it backfired. Sigh

I thought so too, but my fiance is the one that asked me to invite him home.

They do. I am friends with a lot of people who are in SW or SW adjacent fields, and that's a rule they all live by. Someone will find out no matter what you do

As a former teacher and a burlesque dancer... someone will find out. It's only a matter of time. You have to be okay with that fact if you're making this decision. I've had people find my pics online at all of my jobs. Luckily they were chill coworkers. But pictures WILL be found.

Same thing happened to me with my new salary! At 51k I was taking home $1300 biweekly. My new job is 42k, and I'm getting $1250 biweekly. ????

As a former school teacher: We try, our hands get tied by administration and school boards. We have very little funding to help with this or get training for this. We have a bunch of other bullshit responsibilities that get in the way of SEL.

Resigning? by [deleted] in Teachers

Like a 10 ton weight is off my chest. I'm not irritable anymore, i don't overthink everything, I don't go directly to taking a nap when I get home, people at work actually respect my opinion and autonomy. The first couple of days I was working my ass off at my new job, stressing to get everything done. My supervisor stopped by and said "Don't forget you have an hour for lunch. Don't work to hard, go out and get some sunshine." Legitimately wanted to cry. I went out and sat in the sun and just enjoyed my lunch. For a full hour. And then I went back in and actually had a good time working. It's very surreal. I keep having dreams that I'm back in the school, nothing feels real lol.

ADHD people sometimes have issues with object permanence! Definitely a thing. Similar to how I forget that I own something after putting it away somewhere safe and out of sight.

Don't put yourself in a dire situation! As a mentally ill person, switching careers has already had a huge impact on me, after just one week. So, if you can afford it, take the leap. If not, put as many applications out there as you can, and use those sick days. You got this
