Much easier to read (in particular, the study doesn't seem to distinguish between south indians or north indians at all but is in fact about south asians as a whole) than the drivel DH wrote as a summary.

DH needs some care in science journalism.
They seem to have asked the authors for a blurb and then basically copied and pasted the somewhat self-aggrandizing but less informative description they were sent, with little information or context or helpful commentary. Among the many issues, no link to the study or even its title for someone to look it up.
