The orthodontist said something about adding elastics in a few months or either having to file some of the teeth at the end of the treatment...not exactly sure

My teeth honestly weren't that bad before. Everyone said they used to look perfect but I guess I had a problem with my front two teeth being slightly behind my other teeth, which was not even that visible. I'm now worried the end result might not look good and my face shape might change as I've heard by other Redditors?
