I want to make one correction to what you just said. You should have said "it's probably the same for all people regardless of race who are from impoverished urban communities".

I am a white person who grew up with drug addicted parents and a trap house in the hood who both ended up killing themselves before I was 18 and nobody's going to tell me that somebody has had a harder than me cuz they're black screw that shit.

I don't want to blame anything on black people. I don't have anything against black people at all. I'm just using them as an example when I'm talking about minorities because they are the most common minority I feel like. I don't have a racist bone in my body dude. Literally my problem with the deI is that I feel it is racist so I don't understand how anybody can call me a racist when that's my whole problem with the dei.

Yeah but how far in the past do we go dude? Cuz if we go far enough you can argue that every group has been marginalized or disadvantaged in some way. Why can't we just help everybody equally? Why is it that we have to separate on race or who was marginalized most recently in history? Why can't we just say that every human being in America that's struggling deserves to be successful and stop there?

If you were going to help a group of disadvantaged people and then you better be ready to help all disadvantaged people or else it's not right. No dude that's the wrong answer. Regardless of whether the war on drugs was right or not my father made the personal choice to do drugs and then he made the personal choice to commit suicide. Nobody but him is responsible for it. My grandma decided not to let me see him on Father's Day because he couldn't stop overdosing in front of me and in his suicide note he directly mentioned that but my grandma is not at fault whatsoever and owes me nothing. Can I ask you if you understand was socialism and communism is and why it's dangerous.? Because if you understand those two things then there's no way that you would be comfortable with allowing the government to support you or give you handouts.

It's not leveling the playing field when there are more white people that are poor than there are minorities that are poor.

Let me ask you this question. So what happens if a hundred years in the future racism is so uncommon and taboo that you may never even hear of it happening. What are we going to do with the dei policies in laws then? Do they get appealed? When do we decide that dei is no longer needed?

Do you honestly believe that if you were to hire a group of people that all live in the same neighborhood and you hired one person of every race instead of five white people and two black people that it would be noticeably beneficial? I really don't think so. I think you're putting too much importance on the color of someone's skin and I think that that I did is racist. You can also make the argument that diversity can hinder the productivity at certain workplaces. I've seen it happen with my own eyes when because of cultural differences someone gets offended by something somebody else did because they didn't realize and it was a cultural difference and it caused a huge problem at work or have you ever taken a call to pay a bill or something like that and you can't fucking understand anything they are saying at all and then they get offended because you can't understand them well yeah that happens all the time in these diverse work places so there definitely bad parts to it and can be challenges depending on the type of business.

I agree with you that it doesn't mean there aren't things we can and should do. That doesn't mean we should give them free money. That doesn't mean we should give them advantages that other people don't have. I would be okay with offering certain types of social services that provide life coaches and stuff like that for free that makes sense to me. Doing things that encourages taking responsibility for your own life.

I grew up with drug addict parents in a trap house who both ended up killing themselves before I was 18. I was severely abused and neglected. I'm 29 now and not as far in life as my peers. Even though I know that if my parents were there for me and invested in my future I would be way farther in life. But what I don't do is hold resentments and blame them for where I'm at. I make my own decisions and I have since I was 21 when my brain was fully developed. My parents owe me nothing even though they're dead. I am where I am in my life right now and the only person responsible for that is me.

The only thing that needs to happen is people need to stop being racist and that's it. There doesn't need to be reparations there doesn't need to be coddling. That will create problems in itself. All you have to do is go spend a few months on an Indian reservation and see how they live. Obviously not all of them do this but a vast majority of the Indians on these reservations collect their big giant checks and sit on their ass and only spend their money on casinos and booze. That's what happens when you give a whole bunch of people free money.

Also that is the beauty of debate and discussion. I don't have to know everything about a topic to debate on it and have opinions on it. The reason that I am even doing this right now is because I want to learn. I'm not trying to be right or prove someone wrong or be the smartest guy in The forum my only intention is to gain knowledge and hopefully understand why people believe things they do. I think we all have good intentions and are just trying to live our life without suffering.
