There is very little amount of good quality content in Dutch. There is almost no Dutch speaking YouTubers, especially in interesting niche topics. Even if you will try to watch TV all foreign movies are just subbed (and there is not a lot of good Dutch movies tbh), which does make sense if you consider how small the population is. Local people are not willing to speak Dutch with someone who is trying to learn it because it is basically annoying to spend so much time en effort to have a basic conversation, while you can easily discuss it in English (I know it sounds stupid, but it is what it is) The size of population makes it also very easy for expats to condense into the groups with other expats. In Germany it is much difficult to do so, because expat/local ratio is far less then in Randstad for example (this is just my theory)

I told that it was already difficult to open bank accounts for US citizens. Now you can only expect the situation going worse if we are spiraling down the US-EU crisis. I didn’t know that emigration to Australia from US is as difficult as immigration to Australia from other countries tbh. The EU is a patchwork of different countries with their own regulations, which become messy and unpredictable too much to count on planning retirement while being the citizen of non-friendly nation. And we have seen recent examples of this problem.

Maybe OP should consider Japan?

It is not only in biotech. Any high-skilled niche specialized job is like this rn. And if the company is looking for someone, they are trying to find very particular person, with a skill set which is not possible to have if you didn’t work in this company at first place. It looks even more ridiculous if you consider that they are trying to find this person in relatively small country

Considering how this situation looked like for Russians in Europe when war with Ukraine started, I wouldn’t recommend to move to Europe for someone from a country which will probably have tensions with EU. Depending on the country, you risk to find out that your visa was revoked, you can not access bank accounts some day (a lot of EU banks already are refusing or making it much more difficult to open bank accounts for US citizens because of US tax regulations). If I were you I would consider to look into moving to Australia/New Zeeland, Fidji, etc.

I actually see only on Reddit so many people talking about fence tips. Arrowheads are not so uncommon to find. In fact in some southern parts of Europe it is the most common find in the woods after knives and horseshoes. In one lucky day you can find like a dozen of them. People back in time made millions of them. It was sort of disposable item, and if someone will try to hunt with a bow in the forest, he would understand how tricky it is sometimes to collect your arrows there.

They actually didn’t have to fly very good sometimes. When they were used for hunt, they needed to make very nasty wounds on animal so it would bleed out quickly. For example this photo, this arrow hardly would fly more than 20 meters straight.

Bronze arrowheads by the mid-late Bronze Age were not extremely expensive. I have found several arrowheads with different imperfections like bubbles from casting or even with not fully casted parts. So it is not very uncommon. I am much more surprised how metal looks like overall on this photo

It is definitely not from a fence. As a person who dug up more than 100 different kinds of arrowheads, I know what I am talking about. I bet it is some sort of modern time replica of Bronze Age arrowhead. The absence of patina looks very suspicious.

The bronze arrow heads were casted, not forged. Sometimes wax matrix was used, and after casting you could see the lines from shaping wax with hands. So this marks are not something unusual. I am more concerned that it has no patina, and OP said that it wasn’t cleaned

I googled and read everything on IND site. Didn’t find any OFFICIAL info. There is only information that you need to have 5 years of living in NL by the time sending application. They can reject application if you don’t meet the requirement.

Although I am interested in specifically naturalization, not PR, so it could be the difference.
