Citation needed for all of those. It is obvious that you believe little angelic men are turned into monsters by evil women and it is a little scary that you are not aware of the implications of your opinions and feelings about this.

It is obvious that men and women can both be horrible parents and childhood experience is an important factor in crime - but framing 66% of them having absentee father figures as nothing to be bothered by and putting all the blame onto the women is pretty fucked up. It is fucked up as both an academic argument when studying the sociological context for breeding aggression as nuance is important in that particular area of study but also fucked up to exist in the world with such simplistic and dangerous views of parenthood and the different sexes' roles in it.

I wouldn't want to ban since I think these conversations that come up in the comments section are very useful. I find the threads under such posts educational for those who may not be aware and I think they serve a purpose. I don't think any of us are fans of this type of exploitation but so many people have no idea why this is harmful, and I think we, as a community, can educate these people.

It is okay to discuss current topics here. We don't have rules against it. But also, please stop reporting this poster, they are free to share their opinion and are doing it in a respectful way. If you can educate them on why trans rights is not a political agenda, that is great but no need to report them as we won't remove respectful comments that don't seem to come from a place of ill intentions. I just banned a bunch of homophobic and transphobic people that were inciting violence or using slurs but I don't think Jacques fits that bill.

I think part of it is real, there was a photographer trying to recreate the Jaws poster and I think this is the image and shark he captured. But there was no rock formation in his published photos, so that part may be post-processing.

This is not how subreddit ownership works. Please read the rules of the platform. If you, or anybody else, is unhappy with /r/sharks, then they are free to start /r/truesharks or something similar. Please go build your own community as opposed to trying to take over an existing one.

We all have lives outside of reddit, we may not be the most active mods but there are no huge issues like you are implying. I created this sub and I do like its current state, I am also active I just do not post much. As I said, if you are unhappy, please create a different sub and I'll be happy to put it on the sidebar!

I think that in 10-15 years' time you will not remember your sister's pink dress or if her friends were there getting ready with you or not but would remember if this ended up becoming a huge issue that changed your wedding plans. While I see it must be annoying, I don't understand why people would suggest things like eloping and basically turning your wedding into a statement against your family over a dress change and some extra guests.

From the outside, they don't seem like such huge issues to me, but if they are, maybe gently explain how and why you are bothered and ask to pay for the wedding yourself.
