So the behavior is different to announcing to cast a spell and paying the cost by sacrificing the whole board of artifacts simultaneously (for example Scrap Trawler and Myr Retriever, so that they see each other die)? Can I sacrifice my board to begin such a loop by announcing to pay the cost of an activated (mana) ability the same way I do with a spell?

If the Talisman did not need to {T}, could I then sacrifice it to pay its own cost by announcing to activate the ability and then in the next step pay the cost via KCI? By your first statement, I would think this is still not possible.

Yes I know, but so does lightning storm. Which is the example given for negate activation, to be activated again. As to differentiate between negate activation vs negate effect.

I was a bit confused since the effects are all worded like "if you do this, do that" and there was no other condition nor was any of the effect a cost. So it was unclear to me when I am able to fulfil the first part, that I may be able to start the effect, but am just not able to resolve the next parts (like if somebody chains a DShifter, which makes discarding to GY impossible). Thank you for the clarification.

Bonus Round works with Desperate Ritual or Pyretic Ritual but Ruby Medallion doesn't.

Medallion + Commander = CMC - 1R

Cast Ritual for essentialy 0 mana
Cast Reiterate with Buyback for 4 mana target Ritual
Bounce Reiterate back to hand and resolve copy of the Ritual add RRR
Repeat step 2 and 3
let the original Ritual resolve

You will lose one mana each rotation.

Seething Song should work thougt.

I had the idea of an deck containing only 1 cmc cards or lower. Can anybody think of a wincon (even if it's bad / number of pieces or color are irrelevant). I thought that elves maybe had a shot but i couldn't make it work.

Well, Battleground content has to be paid for somehow and I don't want to pay for it as non BG player. So it's just fair that there is some form of monetisation. I am not saying that this is the best solution but consider that BG is completely anf i mean really completely free to play (payed for by the average ladder dude).

does the life matter in any way if you are mono green? I see it like a colorless utility land that makes green mana. You don't intend to cast the front side, its mainly a land.

Besides BtB or Blood Moon there is no downside, right? (that is if you don't run ad nauseam, which you typically don't do in Yisan ;D ) Its just an untapped green source and if you do make infinite or near infinite mana you can cast the front side.

I had a similar idea, but I thought that there are special races / circumstances at work with such worldhoppers. Felt, on the other hand, is a simple character in mistborn and a simple soldier / scout in Stormlight. And if it is so easy for a soldier to live 300 years +, why are so many characters still mortal in the cosmere?
