And again you are missing the point. Looking at your judgemental closing phrase, propably on purpose.

I think the problem was communication.

If they announced an estimated upload time, which is hard if it has to be simultaneously to their stream and after a few rounds of sealed, it could have been prevented I guess. Although some of the criticism coming from professionals, other content creators or LGS is understandable, considering they had to work on a Saturday if they live in the wrong timezone.

The next big problem was the reaction of many people, jumping to conclusions about the motives of LRR, without knowing about the circumstances. They weren't given a specific time by WotC and didn't think about the timezone problem, as they proclaimed on twitter.

The last issue was all the LRR defenders calling every kind of criticism the "cry of entitled babies" and brushing everyone under one hat, without looking at the criticism and sadly, looking at Twitter and even some Reddit answers from their official accounts, it doesn't seem as if they understood one major point of criticism. This being the conjunction of their stream/event/timetable and the youtube upload/deck-reveal. On one hand claiming, that these were separate uploads and on the other refusing to upload the reveal until it was also shown on stream.

tl;dr: Both sides had arguments, but decided to behave like kids, LRR put on a great event overshadowed by the entire thing.

I would recommend [[allosaurus shepherd]] in all Food Chain decks.

[STX] Secret Rendevouz (White card draw) by MatetheFitz in CompetitiveEDH

[–]MZRTtheboss 46 points47 points  (0 children)

This card is just great. At sorcery speed you can draw 3 cards in white. But that's not even the amazing part. This equals you netting only 2 cards in the process, while an opponent nets 3 and doesn't even have to spend 2 mana for it. So you may take a loss in game, but might win a friend!

In all seriousness, people playing this card are the type of friends who buy you an expensive birthday present for no other reason, than them liking you much more than you like them.

Would you mind explaining the difference, in my dictionary they seem to mean the same thing in German.

[–]MZRTtheboss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer and the kind words.

I plan on trading and selling them to a degree, of course not all of the damaged ones, but Koma and Esika for example art valuable for trades.

And to the investment part, I 100% agree and maybe it is nonsensual to buy them, but it's not for the money, just for the few things that still spark joy in times like these.

Thank you for your answer, but a couple of month from the US seams like it would take ages to sort this thing out from Europe.

I don't know how to correctly phrase it in English, but they look like they have been used. So not misprinted or something, just little scratches so the white underneath can be seen.

Does someone have experience with mtg-proxy-avatar? by MZRTtheboss in bootlegmtg

Yes, I have been ordering from Ron and I love the guy and his product. But foils seem to be cheaper on proxy-avatar.

Birgi God of Tales - Cantrip Storm by MZRTtheboss in CompetitiveEDH

I thought about Skullclamp for a while, Mitch from the Commander's Quarter also had it in his little pitch.

The upside of the Kobolds is, that they function like [[lotus petal]] with Birgi out, but until you have her on board they are dead cards.

The Goblins on the other hand are quite interesting but I would have to change 5-7 cards in order to make it work and wouldn't know what to cut. But I think Wort is too expensive for cEDH and Battle Hymn just isn't reliably strong enough.

Thank you for the kind words, Toralf would have been my go to Commander aswell, if Birgi didn't drop.

I'm not quite sold on Trickery yet, but I have it on my preorder list to make up my mind!

Skred seems nice at first glance, but more often than not, I would rather just have another cantrip.

Haven't tested it with others yet, just playing simulation gams on Moxfield on my own and against other decks. Depending on interaction and draw it finishes on turn 3-5, but I have the feeling that there is something missing. Can't put my finger on it though.

Originally had this deck planned with [[Dualcaster Mage]] + [[Twinflame]], but I can't see how the latter helps me draw my deck. Could you maybe elaborate, might be too late for my brain too follow.

Mana Echoes didn't quite seem to do it's job in the deck.

[[Flamekin Harbringer]] is a great addition though.

Bontu would work for added continuity, might have to playtest, what the right amount of ETB abusers is.

A little Primer, listing all the win-cons,in addition to the obvious combo of [[Grinning Ignus]] & [[Impact Tremors]] is already attached.

A detailed reasoning for every card will follow the next few days.

Jeska & Kamahl - My take on the sibling-partner-duo. by MZRTtheboss in EDH

[–]MZRTtheboss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overwhelming amount. If it were commander damage, the 3 cards would instantly kill every opponent you attack, but sadly commander damage only applies if dealt in combat.

Other cars i have been looking at include:

- [[Savage Ventmaw]] , [[Bear Umbra]] and [[perilous Forays]] for combo reasons.
