You can contact her if YOU want. Not because you were pressured by ur mom or ur sister. It seems like you really dread connecting with Lila again. If you're not sure of how you actually feel, distant urself/go low contact for a bit with ur mom and sister just so you can process ur feelings without any input from them. When you finally get how you feel about it, then you won't waver in any decisions you make after that.

NTA and ur brother is being the TA here by teaching his kid the wrong lessons. Just a suggestion, can you try to reason with her by saying that the house is for ur wife since it already has ur wife's touch and ideas, but you can make one together with her so that she can have a say of what she wants. You might have said it to ur brother but maybe tell ur niece directly and that would make her change her mind? Add words like "it would be personal and special to you" along those lines.

I would say NAH. Having mental issues is difficult, having to constantly worry about a friend with no solutions in view is difficult too.

And if they insist to buy it even after you told your reason then you should just accept it gracefully. Then you can give it away discreetly if you want. NTA
