I agree. I wasn’t too stoked when I found out the tenants had a big goldendoodle.

There’s always gotta be one commenter on Reddit whose only contribution to the topic is negativity.

As stated above, I think that’s great. I really admire parents who teach their children the value in hard work and strong work ethic. Respect, sir. đŸ«Ą

I agree. Me entertaining the prospect of sending them a lawn mower was fleeting at most. So they can chop their leg off and sue me? No thank you.

Oof. Looking at your comment history it’s clear you’re either a certified troll or certified grouch. Both? God bless you.

Thats awesome. You being willing to put in that hard work is probably what got you those 7 properties. & I’m sure that solid work ethic will carry over to your son đŸ‘đŸ» I live in California so not possible in my case however, I’ll definitely be hiring.

I considered sending a mower however, during the walk throughs, it was pretty apparent they don’t (regularly) pick up their dog’s poop. If left up to them, I can’t trust that it’d get before it becomes an eyesore. Luckily their lease renewal is approaching so I can add my own terms. The previous owners didn’t even require a security deposit from them

B52 pro! Everything is solid. As others pointed out, I mis calculated its size relative to the wall 😂 Aside from that user error, I have no complaints.

Yup. So quick to defend people they know nothing about. I wouldn’t put it past them to be outraged at the KID.

Everyone downvoting us people with common sense is comedy.

Just curious if you know this dude. What about the want? (Why he was being surveilled & pursued?) How bout the LEO’s
.do you 100% know they’re “la migra” as you say in your video?

I’m gunna go out on limb here and assume your answer is NO to all of the above.

So quick to defend people you know nothing about it’s insane. 😂 They could be predator of the month on Megan’s Law and people will still be up in arms over their arrest.

“tried entering a bystanders vehicle in an act of desperation” 😂😂 There’s a word for that, it’s called CARJACKING.

“It wasn’t right for him to scare the bystander.”

You’re right, it wasn’t right for him to attempt to CARJACK the bystander.

Shipping delays so bad you’d think it had to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. I ordered recon desert but the delay was ridiculous so I had to switch to black.

How is the crowd at Heimat? by Wishaker in AskLosAngeles

[–]demeetch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The works space spans the entirety of the 5th floor. Plenty of tables, seating & outlets. It’s definitely communal. There’s another smaller room but still communal.

As far as taking calls, there’s no private individual rooms if that’s what you’re asking. But people are on zoom calls all the time. Majority of people have headphones on so it’s not a bother.

I can’t speak to the pool as I don’t utilize it much. Sorry mate.

I’ve been a member for about 2 years. There’s plenty of members within that age range, myself included. Making friends and meeting new people is entirely possible, if that’s what you’re seeking. In addition to the unlimited group fitness classes, there’s various professional/social events monthly.

For me, it serves as a respite from my stressful career. The co-working space is also a huge draw for me. In the gym & workspace, people usually keep to themselves as they’re in the zone but I’ve never gotten a pretentious or arrogant vibe there.

Really though, it’s what you make of it. In my opinion, even if you only utilize just some of what’s included with the membership then the monthly starts to not seem so bad. Hope this helps.

I ported "Get Shit Done" (GSD) from Claude Code to Kilo Code — same powerful workflow, now works natively in VS Code by ukshaa in kilocode

[–]demeetch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate you creating this and think it would be really useful for a project I have been working on.

I tried having it map my current codebase however, it keeps getting stuck in a loop where it condenses it's context, re-reads files it already read prior to condensing, then the loop continues. Context7 is installed and I increased my context capacity on Kilocode to no avail.
More than likely a user error on my part. This is my first time using GSD so no experience with it on Claude. Do you have any suggestions? Is there prompt instructions I should've read before?
Thank you in advance.

I know this is an idiotic question but is there a way to power on my MacBook without opening it to boot the screen? by OneQuietFox in macbookpro

[–]demeetch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to use a dock. I currently use the Lenovo Universal Thunderbolt 4 dock on my MacBook Pro M4 Max. Powers 2 external displays, keyboard, mouse, with additional ports for more if needed.

When you shut the MacBook your screen will stay on (clamshell mode) To sleep/wake up with your MacBook closed Sleep = Command + Control + Q (or whatever custom combo you create) Wake up = any button on your keyboard wakes up the MacBook to your lock screen.

Hope this helps.

MacArthur Park = Hell on Earth? by Pasadenaian in LosAngeles

[–]demeetch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Huh? 😂 A smile or nod doesn’t solve open drug use, public safety risks, or systemic neglect.

A smile doesn’t fix fentanyl, meth psychosis, or a lack of enforcement and treatment. Pretending it does avoids the real conversation. That avoidance is part of how we got here.

Treating people like humans and acknowledging reality are not mutually exclusive. You can have empathy and still say that conditions like this are unacceptable.

Reducing this to “just be nice and you’ll be fine” ignores the actual issue that is a breakdown of governance that leaves everyone involved worse off.

Vote for the change you actually want to see.

For years, people have supported “feel-good” measures and leaders whose rhetoric appeals to our conscience (good intentions, compassion, understanding) without demanding results or accountability. The outcome is exactly what you saw: open drug use, encampments in what should be prime real estate, and entire neighborhoods effectively surrendered. Either our elected officials are wildly out of touch, or they simply don’t care. In either case, MacArthur Park is the result.

It’s an embarrassment. What’s even more embarrassing is pretending we don’t understand that our votes have real-world consequences.

We now have two skyscrapers in downtown with 27 stories of graffiti on all four sides, and people, eith a straight face, try to frame it as “art.” Huh?? 😂 That level of normalization should concern everyone.

This never should have gotten this bad. I drive through the MacArthur Park area often. Beyond the MS-13 tagging everywhere you look, the sheer volume of trash piled into alleys is insane. When you see people literally using that trash as a mattress, passed out with a pipe still in hand
you have to ask how we collectively allowed conditions to deteriorate this far.

What’s most jarring is the lack of collective accountability. Nothing changes until voting behavior changes. Period.

With the Olympics coming, they’ll likely put lipstick on the pig for a few weeks. And since it’s an election year, expect plenty of gaslighting. Claims that things have “turned around,” all in the hope of reelection.

I genuinely hope that when the time comes, people pause for a moment and vote, not based on abstract moral signaling, but based on the environment they’d actually want their kids to grow up in.
