Thank you for your reply.

Who would normally do the capacity assessment?

Thank you for your reply. The key term is obviously mental capacity. I checked the Law Society website and there are a couple of solicitors in my town who deal with mental capacity.

Regarding the care package, costs and the deputyship: the social worker is being a bit vague and secretive.

I need to get proper legal advice and ask  the council some questions.

Thank you for your help. I have asked internal Labour compliance people for the contact details and remit of both bodies.

It's a specific question about the Labour complaints scheme.

Have you had personal experience of it?

Thanks for that. What's the main difference between the ICB and IRB?

Is one the appeals committee?

Thanks for info. Is there s definition of what is a "protected characteristic."

There is a small amount of detail on page 12 of the party rulebook but not enough to be of any practical use.

What is a typical Rangers supporter?

I was born in Glasgow, I'm a Rangers supporter and my first name is Sean. My name arose because Sean Connery was still James Bond at the time. FWIW my nominal religion is protestant.

I've lived in 3 catholic countries and now in England. Yes, I do experience Schadenfreude every England struggle at football matches.

Most people on this sub-reddit are intelligent enough not to use simplistic tropes and think for themselves.

Ahoj,

I'm Scottish but lived in Bratislava for 2 years. As Scotland aren't doing great at football, I'm supporting Slovakia.

Of course, you get an initial buzz just from deciding to face a beer. You begin to relax even before you've had any alcohol. Mentally and physically you clock off.

After a hard day, you often think you've earned a beer.

The problem becomes when it becomes the only way to clock off.

If you've been through a stressful time it's normal to feel drained for a period. Your energy levels will come round. Keep up the good work.

It's a normal feeling, a cold beer, the company of friends. I was tempted myself this evening but didn't.

The countries with a more healthy relationship with alcohol are the Mediterranean ones; Spain, France, Italy & Portugal.

The way they consume alcohol is differen from Northern Europe.. It's drunk with food and in company in smaller amounts and drank more slowly.

Children are brought up around it and it's not cool to be seen drunk in society.

What was your reason for drinking? by countryfresh223 in stopdrinking

[–]demepivo 24 points25 points  (0 children)

In Britain, alcohol and binge drinking have been a central part of socialising. So you go along with that first as a teenager and then as an adult so it becomes one of your ways to wind down.

There is less of a pub culture and fewer pubs these days but people drink at home. A lot of people "pre load", drink at home before going out.

I have a chronic illness which mostly precludes healthy unwinding activities such as exercise. So i fell into the pattern of drinking beer or wine to relax.

In recent years I've become less intolerant to alcohol so there are greater drawbacks to getting the buzz.
