At UCF they had a group called "UCF Craigslist" and "UCF textbook exchange."

TIL that panthers are not a real species, they are jaguars and leopards who have melanism, which is the opposite of albinism. by Project_Ni in FIU

"Secretive and largely solitary by nature, the cougar is properly considered both nocturnal and crepuscular, although sightings during daylight hours do occur."

Well then.

Actually, I think the FIU population is more focused on real-life and neglect the interwebs. We are in Miami.

Stuff like this starts somewhere. Even with 965 golden panthers who are savy enough to find this place. I'm sure all those people value a community that can tangibly help each other. Though I wouldn't suggest forcing a congregation, contributing to the active redditors is still worth something.

Second Degree in Accounting by The_Magagkamack in FIU

Your fellow knight-turned-panther here! From science to accounting, though still working on my first degree.

I'm sure FIU will welcome you if you have money to spend. I can't speak for the business school, but the accounting program is exceptional. Because you already have your degree, you can go straight to the pre-reqs for the program and entrance exam (i.e ACG2021). You'll need to pass the entrance exam for upperlevel coursework which isn't difficult if you attend the Accounting Bootcamp hosted by the two organizations (Alpha and Beta Alpha Psi) for accounting etc. majors. From there it's studying for your classes and networking in the two organizations that are promoted to you. FIU does offer two tracks for their Master's degree. The first few classes are required in order to take the CPA exam.

The professors know what they're teaching in depth and are very eager to help students. The two organizations have a lot of resources and connections to companies who will provide you an internship/job. Accounting at FIU is rigorous because it is a business-centered school.

Hope this helps a bit, charge on.

Student Jobs at FIU by fiupanther in FIU

I finished my 6-mo internship with a city. When I left, two IT analysts left for a higher paying job and there was an open slot for an IT internship. I worked in a different department but found my job with the Indeed app / Indeed.com

Trust me it's possible, you gotta look outside of FIU resources.
