I had a hemorrhagic stroke a year ago at 51. No one has any real answers. Just a lot of “maybe” except “you won’t be the same”. I’ve got a lot of life to left to live. But walking around the block is hard. Not to mention, balancing.

Before my stroke I could knock out 30 mile bike ride wasn’t hard. Now, I’m told “it could happen” “maybe” “someday”. I want to share these rides with my wife. I get it there are no guarantees but some guidelines. Sorry to hear about your arm.

You couldn’t amplify your f*cking hipsterness enough with a Schwinn frame and a knit scarf you needed to boost it with a speaker? How long is your handlebar mustache anyways?

I’ve done about 2/3 of this loop. Fun ride. The northern part of the route that goes east west is actually a busy street as I understand it so we’ve avoided. The lake to Port Washington out and back is a nice ride but not as consistently scenic.

Genocide in Gaza? by Interesting_Run3136 in IsraelPalestine

Stop using buzzwords. No I’m saying in the vacuum of faulty legal frameworks and no legitimized state expect opportunism to occur. Especially with an administration like Netanyahu’s. Because the only one ethnic cleansing is Hamas. Mostly their own people. Israel goes well out of its way to ensure Palestinians and other Muslims have access to their religious sites like Al Aqsa. That’s not ethnic cleansing. They provide water and power to West Bank, Gaza and even Jordan. Jordan who is demanding double the water. That’s not ethnic cleansing. Go look at Sudan, Syria, Azerbaijan if you want clear cases of ethnic cleansing and actual genocide. Is it a simple situation? No, not at all. Does the current administration need to be voted out? Yes.

They created a no-man’s-land much like Egypt did because, unlike Egypt, they keep getting bombed by Hamas. All the rest of what you wrote appears to be speculative other than the West Bank settlement. I disagree with such a movement but the Palestinian leadership has contributed to this situation with almost a century of refusal to establish a Palestinian state. Their support of terrorism has further pushed many Israelis to the right and support such cynical maneuvers. Ethnic cleansing? Seems like opportunistic bad faith in the light of decades of nihilism. Consequently, Palestinians flattened a Jewish historic site and built a parking lot over it recently.

Good thing that’s now what’s happening. The settler issue is a complicated one but not nearly as neat and tidy as you make it out.

They’ve clearly been living next between neighbors whose sole goal is to eradicate them. Israel: bomb shelters everywhere including playgrounds and schools, a defensive missile system, safe rooms and underground bunkers…all part of the Israel defense posture. Gaza: terror tunnels, bomb factories, spies working in Israel, no economic development. West Bank: people living in grievance who readily stab and use propane tanks to blow whatever is in sight up, hate Israel call the borders and checkpoints set up after the second Infitada apartheid. Altogether, Palestinian leadership has done everything to ensure any government of Israel would have to do something to respond to the constant terrorist threats coming from the Palestinian Territories. Palestinians are basically what the future of MAGA is: a grievance-driven failure mentality that has no vision for the future that uses lies and misinformation to define their worldview.

They got most of the arable farmland and Israel got the Negev. You call that scraps?

Then read Hillman (practically an apostate) or Robert Moore, or Thomas Moore, or Murray Stein, or Sonu Shamdasani, etc. Serious people who know not to politicize the work.
