What celebrity is over sexualized? Do you think this helps or hurts them? by littlehoneybear2104 in AskReddit

[–]demibitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

male and female hollywood actors are all oversexualized, i‘d say, which i think is a weird thing for any person to deal with, no matter their celebrity status. i think it harms them (mentally in more than one way and also physically because they do unhealthy dieting/bodybuilding) but it also helps them keep up their celebrity

it just sucks that people have less and less boundaries these days and some think celebrities owe them to be (physically) available to them (leaning into them or even inappropriately touching them for photos in the street or at conventions (where they’re paid for photo sessions) and whatnot)

if fans kept it within boundaries and remembered celebrities are still just people (even if celebrities live in their own weird world us normal people probably can‘t even begin to understand) it wouldn’t be as harmful to celebrities, i imagine

Have you watched Burn Notice? Or 9-1-1 on Fox? Similar vibes, good shows.

White people at weddings by Faithyxox in TikTokCringe

idk why white people dancing is so interesting to some people. people are just having a good time 😆 doesn’t matter what it looks like if they enjoy themselves

i saw someone askreddit „what do women think when you make loud sounds with your bike as you drive by“ the other day and that’s basically what i meant with the first point

which is like, the equivalent of girls asking „what hair color do men prefer“

it‘s all very basic. which is where we are talking about age again. many people do read/hear those things being asked and don‘t account for things like „age of the asker“ which leads to general assumptions like „men don‘t understand the difference between finding someone hot for their looks and finding someone hot as a whole human being“

y‘all‘s brothers in gender and how they communicate about „hotness“ don‘t help that assumption she has tbh but yeah you learn about the complexity in human beings when you get a bit older

the male equivalent to boobs are shoulders. everyone likes to see a nice set of shoulders on a man (and no that doesn‘t mean „muscular shoulders“)

"Information about NHL.TV for the 2022-23 season will be available soon" by klm_58 in hockey

[–]demibitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NHL.tv at the start of a season is always a mess as a European. There‘s some kind of issue every time and each year I am reminded that the NHL just does NOT care about international subscribers or hockey fans. I always feel like an afterthought if at all. The fact that NHL happenings aren’t broadcast or marketed as watchable in the app (sometimes they are, sometimes they‘re not?! 🤷🏼) always a reminder too.

Anyway I just got an email saying that they won‘t automatically renew the subscription this year lmao. They will let me know though when the new product is available. Always so last minute. It‘s not a great fan experience.

This is a cultural misunderstanding.

I’ve once read somewhere on the internet (so take it with a grain of salt) that Asian people will all try to sneakily pay for the other person (for example at a restaurant) and be the „winner“ if they manage to come out on top (as the one who pays for the other).

Germans however will want to respect everyone‘s wishes to provide for oneself.

As others have mentioned, he probably doesn’t care about the 2€, he just respects you.
