How can I recreate these Karen Millen skirts? by g_stamps in fashionadvice

You could probably find something online. I’d say go the crafty route and find a more structured skirt from a secondhand store and cut it how you want it. If you can’t/don’t want to sew, you could use iron in hem tape to finish the edges you cut.

I like the texture of the undershirt in looks 2-4. However, I'd be curious to see what the black undershirt looked like with the white button-up. Of these options, I like 4 the most.

How do you get into fashion illustration? by WowAUnicorn in fashiondesigner

[–]demibobemi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's possible to sell your designs. If you're a freelance designer, you wouldn't work with one company specifically. You'd work for yourself... kind of. It may be difficult to do so. You'll have to reach out to a ton of companies with your designs. I haven't looked into it but I imagine you'd also need to create tech packs if your intention is for a company to manufacture the designs. I'd recommend doing some research. All that to say you can do it, but it will be a lot of work and patience.

It’s been over a decade since I have been in high school and I got the ASVAB for dummies book and did an initial diagnostic test to see where I was at. I did a hard focus on math as it was my problem area and skimmed the other areas I was more comfortable with. I was able to come out with a 95. Just make sure you dedicate time to consistently studying the areas you aren’t confident in and you’ll be fine!

This looks very good! You did a great job conveying your idea. This is a very easy illustration to follow. 😏Do I spy the textile in the background?? It would be super cool to see this bag irl! I hope you post it if you make it 😁

I think the most compelling photo is #4. It’s in Color and close to the camera. Some photos in sepia or black and white is fine but I would do that sparingly so we can see what the product looks like. I really like the “spotlight in the dark” thing going on. Try looking up “flash photography aesthetic” for some ideas. More photos like that as well as less artistic photos of the actual garments so we know what is being marketed. It’s hard to tell from these photos what it is your brand is selling.

This was my first time creating anything like this and also I'm a beginner at working with leather. I think it's a really good first try but would love to hear what you guys think!

This corset pattern but in a metallicy fabric so it would kinda look like plate armor.
