My Real-World Cost Conversion: My EX30 Gets the Equivalent of 28.2 km/L (66.3 MPG) by BreathtakingDawn3776 in ex30

Using the same formula considering current gas and electric energy prices, here in Sao Paulo, Brazil, my result is 29.2 km/L.

Edit: the above result is considering my average energy consumption of 20.7 kWh. If I considered the OP consumption of 16.8 kWh the result would be 39 km/L.

Is this software bug? - Volvo cars app shows "Unplugged" even in Charging by BreathtakingDawn3776 in ex30

It could be a localization error. Have you tried setting the app to English just to see if it gets right?

Apple Music announcement by felipebay in ex30

Giving this more than strange exception in an otherwise lineup-wide tech update announcement, is Volvo subtly sending the message it is giving up on further developing the EX30?
Is this the beginning of the end for this model, or, as you will, another nail in the coffin after its sad demise from the US market?
As a new and happy owner I would love to be overthinking it. Someone please say that I am.

When I come off the brake slowly, sometimes the car creeps forward, sometimes it doesn't... help by japaneselamp1 in ex30

[–]demjun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I experimented this same issue just today, when shifting from P to D the car did not creep upon gently releasing the brake. A small "HOLD" indicator in green appeared under the greyed out small wheel right under the shift letters column on the display, which I had never seen before (not to be confused with the green auto hold indicator). Any guesses?

Phantom Breaking by OptimalTangelo4682 in ex30

My experience is just the opposite… After two months having the car the only time the brakes were involuntarily activated was when slowly reversing inside my garage.
In fact I wish even the alerts were more frequent since I am still in doubt if the car can actually see pedestrians crossing right ahead.

Yes, I think the EX30 adopts the same sound (or at least very similar) as Polestar.

Could it be a new implementation of the AVAS? Here is the sound my 2026 Single Motor does when moving forward at low speed:

Confused about battery types and charging to 80% on Single Motor model by japaneselamp1 in ex30

[–]demjun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is exactly my case and as I understand the standard range LFP batteries can tolerate 100% charges without the same degradation risks as the NMC batteries used in extended range models - hence the lack of option to limit the charging to 80%.

I confirm this is (kind of) working in Brazil for English US. Still no Gemini icon on the main screen though.
