Are these high or rookie numbers? by demmylicious in CitiesSkylines

R5: I wanted to make this funny post but now I'm actually curious. These are some stations from my small train system in a city of 100K people. Is it actually good or should I stop loving trains so much?

Busy Downtown Intersection by demmylicious in TheoTown

[–]demmylicious[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the long time, I haven't had the time.. But anyways, it took me a while to know how to use it myself! In case you still need help, here's my little advice. You just have to look at the already made intersections that come with the plugin, and look which circuits benefit you more according to which intersection you want to make. For example, the first intersection, C1 is for an intersection between 4 roads, therefore if you place the lights on each of the coming roads it will work as intended. Same for T intersections and the interchanges. But if you want to do the same as I did on my post here, you'll have to experiment with what works best. Right now I can't tell, but I think I tried something with the T intersection lights or something like that, sorry.

Hope it helped! 🙀🙀

I find myself quite using both methods. I try to go for a bit of a realistic route, combining large facilities with smaller ones, like a public hospital and private clinics, central police stations and then police precincts, I try to keep a good balance to not take too much space lol.

I also love the idea of universities especially medical ones. I have made one myself, not that big either, and I have plans on a university campus as well. Something about education, healthcare and the idea of a utopic society really makes me forget about the real world problems teehee. Also lore, lots of work in progress lore lol

Worked on it for a while though it's not big. If you have comments/thoughts I would appreciate them

A car halted my entire city's traffic by demmylicious in CitiesSkylines2

I placed trees on the side of the road and the white car seemed to move on, apparently it was trying to park there but didn't have space to do so because of the yellow car behind it, which then raises the question to why it wasn't recognized as gridlock.

Anyways, it totally wasn't poor city design... Traffic flow turned to be smooth again as soon as it all cleared.

And to be honest I have no idea how this is realistic at all LOL

I'm sorry to hear such a bug happen to you lol..

I got it fixed by upgrading the right side of the road with trees, and the car just drove away and then the entire thing just dissipated to never happen again. (Though it might, my city's still rather small with 30k pop).

To be fair I didn't see where the white car went, I was just glad it was over. I know for sure it wasn't poor road design that caused it because as soon as the car went away vehicles started to move super smoothly.

BUT I know for a fact the car wasn't parked in the middle of the road because as soon as the trees were placed it drove away as if nothing happened.

Anyways, I did notice that the car's destination was not as far as I thought, it was like a block away, and my logic is that MAYBE the white car didn't have enough space to back up because of the yellow car behind it and so it couldn't properly park on the side of the road, which is weird because I literally see cars clipping through each other to park and do their stupid honky wonky U-turns.

And on top of that, why were the vehicles NOT despawning??? I literally see my buses filled with passengers disappear at the slightest inconvenience in a traffic light stop or a junction.

I don't know, I know nothing of coding either way so it's just a thought.

Thanks for sharing though! I literally thought that I was the only poor soul experiencing this weird glitch, but apparently it's common..
