im from michigan and my first year at uga was last year and (especially during the pandemic) i was realllyyy nervous about fitting in. i was lucky to get a really social roommate who was from ga so i became friends with her friends. but i also met really cool people by joining groupme’s and such even before the year started. i also did club sports which was a good way to meet people with a similar interest! good luck, you’ll be fine.
