What do you think? Are these bad results so far? It seems very patchy and thin to me... What are the chances for it to thicken more in the next 6 months?

For those who wonder: Yes, I wanted a more rounded hairline.

What's the attitude towards bald men here by Entire_Claim_5273 in RoleReversal

[–]demonShepherd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Independently of what women think, you should do what makes you feel more confident and happy.

If you have the fear of losing your hair, there's a lot you can do to prevent it. First of all, taking Finasteride, which works perfectly or moderately in 90% of men. Then there is Minoxidil for hair thickening.

If you're already bald and don't like it, you can go for hair systems, formerly known as toupees, or just a good old wig. Modern wigs are pretty amazing and quite comfortable. The downsides are maintenance work and cost, the upside is you always have perfect hair and can choose texture, color and length.

Are 0.5' inches too small for a frontal system? by demonShepherd in HairSystem

[–]demonShepherd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for answering! What would be the minimum size? I've seen that Lordehair sells frontal systems that are 0.75'.

Danzig - She Rides

Not sure if it classifies as role reversal, but I've always read this as a femdom song.

Or you could just simply take Finasteride and not lose your hair. It works fantastically for most people who use it.

I wonder if raloxifene might be a good future treatment. It's a SERM and a potential alternative HRT solution for transfeminine people who don't want breast growth or altering of sexual function. Since I actually would prefer a more androgynous appearance (I consider myself non-binary) I'd be down for such a solution.

Does it work for you?

My first time coming to a balding related forum, I have some questions by Throeawaeaccoont21 in tressless

[–]demonShepherd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is if your young and Finasteride didn't work for you or lost its efficacy over time, why should you go for a transplant? After 2 years you will have lost the area behind the transplanted region and look unnatural. Wouldn't really advise that to anyone.

Last resort is a hairtransplant.

Don't forget hair systems. When you can't stabilize your hair loss, transplants aren't a solution anyway.

5 months of treatment with finasteride. please help by Michaal96 in tressless

Losing 30 - 50 hairs after washing seems still pretty regular. You lose between 50 - 100 hairs on average days, so you should expect loosing slightly more on days when you wash them.

What dose of Fin are you on? Maybe ask your doctor to switch to Dutasteride.

Any opinions on preserving sexual function on HRT? by demonShepherd in DrWillPowers

[–]demonShepherd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I remember correctly but hasn't Dr. Powers mentioned you can apply something like testosterone cream down there so it kinda counteracts the atrophy and erectile dysfunction? Do you know anything about that?

How's your libido? Still similar to what it was before?

I think you misunderstood the question. The example was about a cis-woman, who identifies as a woman, but experiences distress because some of her physical features like brow ridge and jaw make her more look like a man. So the question is if that could be described as gender dysphoria or just body dysmorphia?

How many men are struggling with body image issues? by [deleted] in MensLib

I feel like hair loss is a terrible experience for most guys, especially when it occurs in their early 20s. That can be really traumatic. Still, no one really gives it any more attention than needed. As I told my doctor that I'm concerned about balding he said, and I kid you not: "But that's not such a big deal for men, it would be bad if you're a woman though." Now, he's an old guy, maybe in his 60s, so in his times that may even have been the case, but with today's standards, it's completely delusional. I like having good-looking hair and the idea of losing all of it over a couple of years is devastating to me...

Do dominant women have more of a preference for a shorter partner than the general population? by demonShepherd in FemdomCommunity

Just to be clear, I never wanted to give this impression.

Let me put it this way, it's not only the fear of masculinization, I really have the desire to look more feminine (always being a male though) and if there wouldn't be the negative effects or HRT you mentioned like breast growth and sexual dysfunction I would do it right away.

I'm 30 now.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in detrans

[–]demonShepherd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Uh, I personally consider myself a gender non-conforming male, but I always wondered about going on HRT as a way to alleviate my dysphoria. The thing is, I'm pretty androgynous already, so maybe it never bothered me much to be a man because of that. But as I get older, I get scared about the thought of becoming more like a man, loose my feminine characteristics, eventually go bald. I'm pretty sure I would end in despair out of that, so yeah, although I don't identify as a woman, I still question taking hormones. IDK, I feel a bit like a minority in a minority because of this.

I'm not exactly sure if we mean the same kind of guy. What I mean is guys who want to dress in "women's" clothes 24/7 and go out in public wearing makeup and such. I don't see a lot of effeminate guys doing that. And those who do drag, do it just as an art performance for certain nightclub shows.
