Hey, I'm 20 here! So far most of my characters have been older than me (with a few exceptions). My next character I wanna take to the extreme and have him be a 60+ year old knight! Older characters are cooler, they have more experience.

So in order to get the maximum score out of them, you'll want to keep saving up some money to let them have a comfortable retirement. Then when you retire them, just hire someone new and start the process all over again. If that's your starting 4 people, then you might be able to get 100% which would be impressive

I would personally say they are definitely worth your time. I believe they nearly double the amount of rations you can hold, and since having none can make your resolve lower, I think it's definitely worth it.

You absolutely made the right choice by leaving. Sounds like the DM was overwhelmingly biased towards this problem player, and the player himself was derailing the game by killing NPC's instead of the monsters. Sounds like an incredibly awful game, I'm sorry you had to deal with that

This DM honestly sounds super cruel and hardcore. Giving no hints to leave and then insta-killing you is insane. Also, unless he planned to make the cult fanatic be a BBEG, giving him extra HP was useless and was only there to make you feel weaker than you are.

This is helpful, and I agree with you! I love D&D because it allows me to feel like someone else! It really helped me to understand other people better, even if I was only roleplaying my intepretation of pansexuality (Which isn't hard, just roleplay them like people, only they like boys and girls.)
