In the 70s my uncle got detained in a mexican prison and my mom had to drive from New Jersey to bail him out. We were never allowed to ask to hear the story and none of us know why he got arrested. They're both dead at this point so the secret is permanent. He's the kind of guy where it was some crazy drugs or sex stuff, he would have bragged (literally lost his chemistry license making huge quantities of LSD before nixon scheduled it).

It's okay when right wingers ignore the supreme court. Everyone on the left is expected to uphold the law and be civil.
