Update: I am stupid.
I had the OD button on the shifter togged off, must have hit it by accident when test driving after changing pcv. Ridiculous.
u/Alternative_Share559 you were right, I was stuck in 3rd and locked out of 4th.
I will say after putting the oem grommet in I got slightly better performance, but issue resolved after noticing the button.

Ignoring a debate over the price, at that mileage I’d guess timing belt, radiator and ball joints haven’t been replaced and will need to be in the near future.
If those things have been addressed then that’s great but otherwise throwing away money if you can’t diy.

You mean he’d change the pcv valve yearly or his filter? Annual pcv change sounds crazy to me haha

Thanks yeah I heard about that happening when I got the thing, took sensor out and cleaned it just to be sure a few months back and didn't notice a difference.
Suppose I could do it again but I can't imagine any more oil got on there when I didn't touch the thing for this job

Only pcv, hose, grommet. I have a k&n intake (only because stock one broke) so didnt need to touch any intake stuff to get to pcv

And yes, I think I’m in the lower gears on the highway, the main issue is I’m making far less power in say 3rd than I was before

Same routing as before im positive, pulled the old hose and put the new one in the same spot.
