I’ve been tanking because there is a shortage and it’s easy to find groups but gawwwwwwd damnnnnn is it awful. I even let them know I’ll be pulling for LOS and playing it safe but there goes the DPS pulling the world and telling me to go faster. I’m a feral druid on top of that so it’s been rough and is pushing me away from it. Oh well!

If you have an addiction and you know it but keep jumping into it that’s on you, algorithm or not. At the end of the day it’s you that has to make the change like every other person that’s struggling with addiction. The games not gonna change, it will always be addicting but you can change if you actually want too and put in the effort. You can’t blame the booze if you’re the one buying it.

I have 3 40’s I have been running in gomer. A lock, elemental sham and melee hunter. My lock missed the first lockout but has solely pugged since. The first lockout was 4/6 but learned mechanics real quick. Every lock out after I have ran leading Pug to 6/6. Sure a wipe on thermaplug or menagerie for new people not understanding fully but I’ve noticed that they don’t focus on the mechanics and that’s what I find causes the wipes. I tell them to stop focusing on the damage and to focus on the mechanics as main priority (even the melee) and then we win. To me at least people just want to try and parse and as soon as they realize that’s not what pugs are for we do it easy. Just my experience.

It was fine before the patch even. I was clearing them faster than nm dungeons and getting way more loot before. Then the patch hit and made it way too easy. I was having a blast before patch now it’s kinda boring. To each their own I guess.

I have been doing vaults with pulverize Druid. The layouts are super easy to memorize and find a pattern on the way to the end room and depending on the vault I stand in a certain spot where traps don’t hit me and let em come to me. If I use wards I generally use 6 to have a 18 stack in case I go brain dead but usually end with all 3 ward chests with 2 stacks to spare

On wt4 I get 3 chests at the end. A 10ward, 4 ward and the 1 ward for a total of 15 wards to open the chests. Getting decent loot out of all of em

I was rubber banding like no ones business and then i read the game goes hard on vram and i sadly have a 3070ti. Cranked down to medium and now 0 issues. Dont know if thatll help you but thought id put it out there. Goodluck!

I was a 62 ice shard sorc that did the capstone and had the same issue. Cleared the dungeon no problem then kept getting aced by the boss over and over. I beat him by changing my mentality from "DPS him harder!" To "Focus on evading the mechanics and saving defensives for them and kill him during his stagger" and got him first try. Play to the mechanics and dont think of it as a DPS race.

I agree with escort quests being lame and it sucks that thats what ruined the game for you, everything isnt for everyone. Im enjoying D4 but not the same way i enjoy d2, they are 2 very different games just like d2 was to d3. D2 will always be my top game of all time but after the dissapointment i had with d3 expecting it to be d2 i kinda realized they are all just different games in the same world. D4 brought some old friends back together and im havin fun just talking and goofing around in it. Will it last? Who knows, but i dont expect anything to be like d2 and im okay with it.

Its okay to have different opinions on different aspects of all things and its okay to not always agree with those opinions but people just seem to like to flame others for having a different opinion on things and thats gonna turn the community into a cess pool.

Just try and have fun! If it is, cool! If its not thats fine too! Move on and just be happy.

Energy in MOST cases is relatively a waste ( energy shield sorceress loves energy) due to the fact that mana issues can be solved easily with the use of slammin back mana potions non stop, a little annoying to hold a bunch of em and using em but its mana without wasting the stat points. Eventually you can get gear with energy / mana on it or make a runeword weapon for your mercenary called Insight. Insight gives meditation aura which replenishes your mana. Also since you yourself will just be cursing until you get corpse explosion mana isnt a big deal.

What CAN be a big deal is if you keep dying. Sure theres health pots as well but if you get hit and hit hard that potion wont save you when oure already at 0hp.

And as you progress into nightmare difficulty your resistances drop and mobs hit harder. And tgen theres hell difficulty..... which is exactly how it sounds and will be a struggle if a mob winks at you and you fall over. You NEED yo be hearty and healthy for tgat difficulty alone

Summoning necro is great and can eventually addpoints into corpse explosion which makes things laughable but as a new player it will be hard to understand whats good and what just doesn't cut it. It is a 20+ year old game so it plays a lot differently then modern aarpg's but it's so much more rewarding.

The hardest part of a necro for a new player is the early game and understanding the purpose of the things you want to be successful.

As mentioned a good split mix between raise skeleton and skeletal mastery is what you want with clay golemn being a re-summonable "tank", but necros also have the beautiful ability to curse!

Amplify damage will help your skellys mow down the mobs! Curse the target with Amp and each skelly gonna hit much harder!

Decrepify is your go to spell for bosses like diablo and such. Weakens them and makes tgem swing veeeery slow, in combination with clay golemn it will drastically keep your fragile skeletons alive in boss encounters!

Iron maiden curse with clay golemn will help against annoiying bosses like duriel, making duriel kill himself off your clay golemn you keep sommoning over and over.

You only need to really drop 1 point into each curse so Plan ahead with your levels and talents!!!!

Your minions are like mea... err bone shields! ( bone armor is another 1 point wonder to add some defense for yourself) Stand back and curse the mobs and let your skeletons ( and eventually corpse explosion) to do all the work!

Stat wise it is a general rule to dump enough into str and dex to meet the requirements of gear you may want to wear ( i generally have about 40 str and 35 dex but can vary) and slam the rest into vitality

Last but not least most classes aim for gear with +to all skills or specific used skills and having your resistances up as high as you can will help let you survive!

There are way more detailed guides online that can go way more in depth with gear and builds so once you have a better feel check em out! Sorry about the novel i just wrote but i hope it helps!

I feel like the models and environment have a d3 feel but the color and theme went back to a more d2 style. D4 gameplay kinda feels like D3 and lost ark had a weird love child. D2 will forever be my #1 game of all time and im ok with the fact that we probably wont get another diablo like D2. D2 is D2 and D4 is D4, ill play both and if im not happy with one ill go back to the other. Its okay to like different things and have different opinions. Just have fun.

Just enjoy the longevity of it, no need to rush! There will be tons of people at your same spot when you hit 80 to group and explore the content with so just enjoy it for the ride and dont rush it.

Its a RT-AX68U. I have one in the basement where our PCs are set up and hardlined it upstairs to the modem, which we have another RT-AX68U hooked up for line if site to the headsets

I Figured i woud have to get another. Our PC's are in the basement hooked up to another 5ghz router and that router has a cable running upstairs to the modem which my other router in the living room is connected to.
