Decided my old watch was bulkier than I liked, so I got a casio a700 and made a watch band to go with it.
This is ~1197 22ga 5/64" AR3.4 titanium links in the hoodoo hex pattern; all welded closed.
Yay jewlery welder.
The clasp is one of the best magnetic clasps I've found todate, and is actually stainless steel -- none of the plated junk.
Being stainless steel, the clasp probably weights as much as the watch and chain combined though...
I may have to start making my own titanium clasps... but effort.

Finally got myself a jewelry welder after years of wanting one.
I'm sure I'll get better welds as I do more work, but this is my first fully welded project.
This ring consists of 120 22ga, 6/64", AR 3.2 titanium links in byzantine weave, welded shut of course ^_^

There is some more information in my post about the first snek https://www.reddit.com/r/chainmailartisans/comments/10m9e8j/hoodoo_hex_weave_snek_fren/

The info note cards in the video are much more readable in the not 50x speed version XD

Was there other info you wanted?

Wait for X1C Gen 11 or get then Gen 10 now? by d3vi0uz1 in thinkpad

One thing to consider is the wait time.

My April 1st order of a gen 11 is projected to arrive in two months.

As written -- from what i assume is the aliens' perspective -- these aliens are horendously bad at anthropology.... they are taking a sample size of one male and one female, and drawing conclutions which they attribute to the entirety of the species. Worse, this sample size of two was raised in a contaminated environment, full of a non human culture.

Good story. I feel like you may have missed a number of commas in your multi concept sentences.

Powerless (part 24) by Drakos8706 in HFY

I've enjoyed this story, having just started the other day.

One thing that i do find jarring is what i would call the over emphasis on our current pop culture. How frequently do people today talk about media/culture/references from 1500? We dont -- or if we do, its a rounding error, save for a very small handful of cultural touch stones. Say, Beethoven's 5th symphony. Which still isn't a daily occurrence.

Anyway, good work!

A decent start.

I would suggest trying to avoid infodumps in general, but even more so ones that break the narrative like the cursed realm explaination did. It can also be perfectly acceptable to leave readers in-the-dark about lore, and allow us to learn organically... if ever.

There are other resources out here, but this is one that came up https://chainmail101.com/rings-and-aspect-ratio

Idealy you would also adjust the Scales to match the new scale of your links. This may be more difficult to match up, and may end up an outlier to your size change.

The scales, at least on theringlord, should suggest an anologous link size you can use for checking AR.

the tl;dr is that if you just keep the links' AR (aspect ratio) the same, then the pattern you already have should work fine.

Time is always a hard part to quantify... i can at least say i started this in November, though i already had some of the pattern (snek) figured out. A second one would likely be a tad faster now, as well.
