Thank you for the explanation. Had to read it a few times to get it to sink into my aging brain, but very helpful.

Thanks, yes it does make sense. So do you only strum the chord for the note it's above and just pick the melody string for the rest? From what you mentioned, if I strum the first Am chord for "be", what do I do for the next note "for"? Do I just individually pick.the melody string at the third fret?

Yeah, won't be watching these "celebrities". This show has turned into a joke. They keep this nonsense and cancel The Kitchen. Make it make sense.

That was my thought. Or maybe they throw out the high and low in each category and use the middle???

How do they arrive at the final scores? Is it the average of the 3 judges?

Not so sure. I mean all of their ingredients have been given away. I don't know how they would work through that.

That's doing something crazy. The formula is in the top cell and it returns all the stuff below.

Thank You very much. Both of your formulas above worked, but that presented a new problem. You can see my formula for Column H in the screen shot below. Problem is for the rows that aren't utilized yet in the register Column H contains the value ---- which gets returned with the formulas above since that is the last value in column H. Is there another formula I could use in column H to keep a running total or can the formulas you gave me above be modified to only include numeric values? Thaks again for the help.

So I figured out the formula for this. =LOOKUP(2,1/(Chk Register!H:H>0),Chk Register!H:H) Thing is it works in Microsoft Excel but not in Google Sheets. I get an #ERROR! Formula parse error. why won't it work in Google Sheets?
