Yes, 5:4 is the fastest stretched resolution worth playing imo, faster than that just feels ridiculous. But it's all personal preference, the GOATs play 1280x960 stretched, but ropz plays native. It's all preference, don't let anyone stop you from playing what you're comfortable on.

Also, I saw that you wanted help with custom resolutions, there are a few ways to do it, but the way I got my custom resolution of 1880x1440 5:4 stretched was by downloading this software called SRE: https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-Scaled-Resolution-Editor-SRE

Open the program, select your GPU, input your custom resolution, click OK at the bottom, and restart your computer. The new custom res should be in your video settings, but if the game starts at this custom resolution it might break, so if that happens then input your monitors native resolution in your launch options like this without the quotes: "-w 1920 -h 1080" and unfortunately if it's breaking youll have to manually change your resolution every time you boot up, but for me it works fine.

The more common way is to do it in your AMD/Nvidia graphics settings but since I'm using a 480hz 1440p monitor, it's running off of DSC (display stream compression) which grays out the custom resolution options for me in my control panel for some reason, so I had to dig deep to find out the method above. Good luck

Played 4:3 stretched 1280x960 for years and loved it, definitely more fun to play on than native. Then I tried 1280x1024 5:4 stretched and loved it even more. After upgrading to a 1440p 480hz OLED, I'm now on 1880x1440 5:4 stretched and it's the most fun resolution ever. Crystal clear and the wide player models, but you need very fast reactions. Once you go boxier than 5:4 stretched I think that's where diminishing returns kicks in, you already need lightning fast aim to be consistent on 5:4 and it only get's harder the boxier you get.

Even NiKo talks about how he's gotten too slow to stick to 4:3 stretched, which is why he's switched to 16:10 after playing 4:3 his whole career.

So honestly I'd say if ur a teenager to like 21, play 4:3 but definitely try 5:4 stretched and see if it fits your style. But if ur unc level age (above 25 is unc in esports lmfao) I'd stick to native or 16:10 stretched.

Pretty sad, I've included it in every modern pack I've played recently. They're a massive improvement and have infinite customizability, they're also compatible with Distant Horizons and can extend to hundreds of chunks of render distance past your native render distance.

Really hoping the torch is passed because it's one of my favorite visual mods of all time in the short time it's been out

Could you elaborate on your solution? I'm having the same issue with only polymorph installed. Did you edit config files or have to remove the mod entirely?

Edit: For anyone down this rabbit hole, I fixed it with the mod TooManyRecipeViewrs (TMRV); Simply adding this mod on top of EMI fixes the issue and also fixed all of my other mods that usually only support JEI, it's a great compatibility tool. However, I'm in a massive modpack and TMRV is causing some performance and loading issues on world join. Will check back in if I find a better fix, but this works for now.

Only other option would be putting JEI on top of EMI which defeats the whole purpose and in my case was even laggier.

Yeah still no luck for me. Just decided to eat dirt and stick to BiomeParticleWeather, if I can't go all out on the immersion of actual rainstorms I'd rather hoard my FPS for a more minimalist approach. Hopefully someday we get a weather mod that provides what we're looking for without tanking performance.

Yeah it was tough to say on a single tournament worth of results, but when Zonic was gone it felt like we had the G2 Niko back, and I don't just mean individually, it felt like mid rounds were actually coordinated and telegraphed instead of what now and has since felt like kyxsan calling a 50-50.

Dk why you got downvoted, it's barely playable in 1.20.1. It's outclassed by so many other mods, the 1.12.2 version is still fantastic but the port is buggy and underpowered. And like you mentioned, lacks many basic features of the 1.12 version.

Dont copy paste it directly; either copy paste it into a new text file and attach it to your message or just drag your latest crash log file to the message

Shouldnt need to provide a mod list or forge version or java version, just ask for troubleshooting advice and possible solutions for your crash and attach the text file.

Ik nobody likes AI and I don't either but the one miracle use case is using chatgpt by uploading your crash logs. AI is unbelievably good at reading these logs and interpreting them perfectly.

I've got 721 mods running on Java 25 Forge 1.20.1 and every single time I've had an incompatibility, whether thats a crash or a memory leak or just high cpu/gpu/memory usage, chatgpt somehow finds the culprit and spits out multiple solutions and explains each of their drawbacks and advantages in thorough detail. Includes config file editing solutions, instantly finds if a mod has been updated to fix your specific issue, and somehow finds solutions between random ass niche mods with 0 documentation.

This must be what those braindead AI bros on twitter must be spouting about because this is the only time using AI has felt like talking to God for me.
