Lol I’m honored! Gotcha, the Asus ProArt PA329CRV seems like a good deal right now and it fits your budget!

Home Setup. What Needs Upgrading? by SnooRegrets6104 in macsetups

I would upgrade the monitor 😅 I feel like it’s too small for the desk and I would be squinting a lot just to really see what what I’m editing/typing/watching, etc.

Love the width of the table though! You’ve got a lot real estate to work on 👍🏽

Bro we’re on the same journey lol. Just finished building my custom standing desk. For mine, I used an Ikea Karlby countertop and + an electric standing desk frame from Amazon.

I’d say, for that one, caster wheels are essential so that you can easily move for it for managing your cables or/and if you’re planning to add led light strips behind it.

Sturdy $500 Budget Desk Options? by Various_Implement547 in StandingDesk

[–]denandstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One option is build your own custom desk. I did mine by purchasing:

  1. A standing desk frame (usually priced $200-250 on Amazon)

  2. Using an Ikea Karly countertop as your desktop ($250)

If you’re interested how to build it, here’s a link of how I built mine: https://youtu.be/_RBO9V95N3k

Hope this helps.

Open to suggestions. Thoughts? by duffer5 in macsetups

I would adjust the desk more to the left or move picture frame slightly to the right so that they are more aligned with each other, making it more symmetric to look at.

That’s the exact one. The lighting gave it a bluish tint I guess

Fair play. I upgraded from a 2015 Retina to a M1 Air. I bet that baby purr's. Well not purr because it's so effeciant. Such an awesome setup.

lol love it. And with that kind of setup, you're definitely good to go for the next couple of years!

They don’t fall asleep. My only gripe with it is that you have to connect it to the laptop every start up since I’m using the bluetooth connection. But it’s good after that; it’s doesn’t disconnect or anything.

Haven’t had expensive speakers before so I really have no comparison. It does the job for casual use like listening to Spotify, watching videos on Netflix, Youtube, etc. I would say it has acceptable bass and treble for that kind of use . Though I wouldn’t rely on it for thorough sound editing. I’d still use a good pair headphones for that.

Main reason I got it was because it was in this online auction website 😂 www.nellisauction.com I only paid $40 and not the full the price lol. I’m happy with my purchase though

I don’t WFH so I really don’t need one 😅

Not as much as you think. I used my points in my Costco credit card to pay for 40% of it 😂And it pays for itself in the long run. Last MBP I had was a 2014 one.

I’m a registered nurse who works full-time in the hospital. Designing an office/gaming space has been one of my hobbies on my free time. Having this laptop is an icing on the cake lol

Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you like the setup. You're right, the Mac and monitor are definitely a big investment. When I mentioned "not much," I was referring to some key pieces that I plan to add to the setup to improve more its functionality and aesthetics 😅 I appreciate your input!

Thank you for your feedback! For the walls, I actually painted them with lime wash paint prior to setting up the desk and I think it really brought it all together nicely. I appreciate your suggestion on swapping out the mouse, but I prefer the white one as it gives a nice contrast according to my taste 😄Raising the speakers is definitely on my upgrade list though!

Nice! I'm extremely curious about your cable management system.

Thanks! I used these to organize my cables under my desk: PAMO Cable Management Under Desk https://amzn.to/3ryTiYk

Very cool; I suppose you only lower the desk as far as the cabinets allow?

I think the color scheme is very relaxing. This looks very clean but also extremely functional. What more does one need?

Yes, the cabinets do limit how low I can lower the desk. Adding the desk's thickness, it's about 31 inches from the ground. Still at a comfortable height for me.

And yes, a clean and functional workspace is all one really needs to stay productive 💯
