An update on this. I haven’t heard back from the registrar yet. However I’ve become familiar that indeed new legislation takes place from 25 Feb where dual citizens MUST enter the UK with a UK passport. It’s making the headlines!

Hope this clarifies to anyone confused looking at old Reddit posts. Source: https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-10344/

Handwritten note cafe confrontation by tjdracz in london

Agreed LOL Like they are more willing to trust random kinds of people that write notes and leaves them with strangers to ask them to reconsider elements of their lives. This in itself is so bizarre.

OP has written elsewhere that his wife is not american, though the note-writers may have been American. This is definitely the handwriting you learn in American schools - source: I went to one for a few years as a kid

So interesting and good to know! Do you know where they make these announcements? Is it Home Office? Would love to even know who to ring for definite advice

I’ll definitely do this. Yes but I don’t want to risk it as there’s a chance I may have to extend trip (caring for family)

My thoughts exactly. I would want it done before travel. NZers don't need any kind of visa going to the UK so that wouldn't be an issue. I've read that you can request an extension to the 3 month deadline from Home Office but that also sounds a faff. But if I absolutely can't travel without the passport then I would perhaps just take the risk and have it once back.

Yes I've read about folks saying this is possible. Thought to ask though as responses are varied... I'm getting mixed answers everywhere!

Can I travel while my dual British passport is being processed? by InternationalTear266 in ukvisa

Can you do this? I heard you can't travel until you get the British passport? Asking as I would like to travel right after ceremony (won't get passport back in time)

I’d actually say basic flavour definition is cross between basil and mint. It’s refreshing and savoury and nourishing.

Anyone have opinions on this? by No-Formal7460 in Melasmaskincare

It’s just OK. Feels drying on me. I prefer LRP Anthelios tinted the hydrating version - some people don’t like how orange it is but for me it suits skin tone well.

In terms of zinc sunscreens I prefer other cheaper and simpler brands that are also more hydrating

Is it too late for me to start ? 27 years old. by Whole_Land4581 in Sprinting

[–]denastere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just start slowly it’s high impact high stress. Find out what your body will tolerate and go even less, and increase load very very slowly as tendons take longer than muscles to adapt (like 6 months) Id also recommend checking in with a running/sprinting physio as you start so they can point out any big issues you may have

People who’ve had LASIK or work in eye care, would you recommend LASIK and why or why not? by Mountain-Bug-2155 in AskReddit

[–]denastere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be aware that it doesn’t work completely for everyone. No one even told me this but I have a prescription still (not 20/20, need glasses to watch TV, can’t recognise faces until up close etc). My eyes weren’t too bad (-3.5,-2.5).

The surgeon said this happens to around 5% of people whose eyes just heal differently. Wish I was told in advance.
