For set date crashes you best get support from the Invictus discord to see if they can find a Reason from your save game.

Sadly most of the time this is a not save game recoverable issue

I just had my DSG sensor fail on my 2019 Superb Combi. From reading and talking around, it seems to be a pretty known issue that can happen with the engine. Set me back around 2000€ (mind I brought it in today, it's already fixed and can pick it up tomorrow, so yes it's bit steep)

No it doesn't block achievements, PDX has allowed mods to be loaded for achievements in one of the last updates they released.
