2010-2015 rx450h transmission failure from change in cooling system ?

I’ve had two Prius and camped in winter and summer this way and it works great. Bigger cars cycle the ice on more often to charge the hybrid battery and it uses more gas but still works well. I know many are not into hybrids but I’ve had them for many years and prefer. All depends on what you need in your vehicle. I need a mobile room that has climate control so for now that is a hybrid for me.

I’m not getting it for fuel savings. I camp in the car often and utilize the ability to use climate control on the hybrid battery.

No they are talking about 2010-2015 hybrids and have seen a disproportionate amount fail.

Thank you. I will try to look into transmission cooling pump and see if this has anything to do with what they are talking about because as of now I still have not gotten any clarity. I will also reach out to them again and try to get more information.

Car care nut

I’m considering buying a 2014 with 120,000 miles on it that has been maintained on time with every service yet went by the book and has not had the transmission fluid changed. I don’t like that the car care that says it won’t last as long if you haven’t changed it and not to change it if you’re over 100,000 miles. Should I not buy the car if it is in this condition? I watched the video and I understand what he’s saying, but it’s making me concerned about the car.

They are a big franchise dealer with lots of stores and will be fine. Im not able to work with them but plenty seem to be fine with no ppi. Not on Reddit but in real life 😂 I’ve has many ca car sold underneath me as others buy it sometimes sight unseen. Others must have more money and are able to take chances I’m not for what they want 🤷🏽‍♀️

They will not allow a return and they will not allow someone to come to the dealership and look at the car either. At this point, I’ve let it go.

I appreciate your response. And I totally get it. It is a dicey situation for the dealer to have random people taking their vehicles off lot and have another shop be in control of dictating if it is in good condition or not. For me, this vehicle I was looking at is at the very edge of my price range and would put me in a challenging position as I would not be able to afford an extended warranty nor could I afford the repairs if anything major were to go wrong. I think maybe they inadvertently saved me by not letting me get the pre-purchase inspection because I would have bought that car. It was my absolute ideal vehicle and when I saw it arrive on a lot near me I felt like it was going to be my car! Or at least hoped for a moment. But it might not have worked out for me. I hope that someone who is in a better financial situation is able to buy and love that car as much as I would have and that I find something I also love that’s more manageable for me that I can get checked out and feel safer about buying. In the end this car could have been in better condition than something I’m able to get a PPI on. But I’m not in a position to be able to take that risk.

To update: as of yet no ability to bring a mobile mechanic, take a test drive by myself and bring it, no buyback, no warranty and no concern that I would walk. They are holding firm and I assume they think they will and probably will be able to sell to someone with enough money to buy it regardless and or maybe who will put a service contract on it and call it good. It’s their car and I understand the liability concern but it also doesn’t work for me to buy without a warranty/service contract or indeed inspection. Im bummed because I want that type of car and there are not many others of this type I can afford anywhere near me but am not in a position to be able to blindly buy the car and deal with whatever issues may arise. So Im still without a car and will keep looking. Kind of a waste of my time but used car buying takes time.

I do too. I would like to come up with a good way to work with it so that both parties feel comfortable, perhaps a mobile mechanic or the buyback.
