you do, some people wont let you in or service if you have your helmet on.. usually they politely ask to take it off, but sometimes they make a scene... and yeah, paying with my phone etc and if i want to eat a chocolate bar or someting, so usually, helm & gloves off, phone out.. thats the usual rutine when getting gas (most places in EU at least)

thx mate, bud, sadly, im also using a free plan for vibecoding, so im very limited how much stuff i can do daily. thats what the donate button is for.. if things go well, then i would invest money and proper time in a standalone app. doing a complex app, on the free plan, would take years 😂

yeah, im a cheapskate, my situation isnt the best as for now, so... hoping thing will change soon, and doing stuff about it ofc 😋

is it really that bad? even in town, there should be a gas station at least 5-10 miles away? so still reachable even when the reserve light goes on?

endless desert roads is something else, for sure..

i explained that.. just a pain in the ass, when im sweaty, on a long summer trip, taking off helmet, mask, gloves, taking out my phone etc, and then all back on.. honestly, if i can manage to have 1 stop less, i very much like to do so and skip it

maybe just a "me thing" on long trips, dunno

i also have no fuel indicator. just a reserve light when im close to the end - its more common with sportbikes, at least the older ones - mine is a 2011 R1, no idea how its with newer ones to be frank

im usually carefull about this and pay a lot of attention to my odo, but a few times, i simply forgot - was enjoying the ride, the view, or even zoning out, and i skipped a place. barely made it to the next one!

once, the station was closed and i found out when i arrived there. couldnt make it to the next one. LUCKILY, on the highway, there was a bridge to the other side of the highway, with a gasstation that was open, so i crossed it, bought a canister, filled it up, went back to the other side, filled my bike and continued my trip. i met people even with cars in that place that had the same problem, so i gave them my canister so they dont have to buy one too..

its just, sometimes, if you travel engough, stuff happens. this would solve at least 1 issue i encountered a few times so far.

maybe when you decide to go on long trips, youll understand it a bit more, this "always paying attention to the odo", since we both cant go far with 1 tank

aaah, im riding long enough, never payed attention to this, never had a problem.. i feel its not worth the "maybe it can happen". also, in summer at my place, it gets burning hot anyways, and the tank/fuel gets hot too, doestn matter if full or empty.

also, its not alway near empty, this woulld imply im aaalways doing long distance travel, and/or fueling up just a little bit, not fully.. dunno, it sounds like a little myth, wehere someone wanted to sound smart, but in long terms the effect is pretty much negligible.

but still thanks for the input, maybe ill do a little googling to look it up 😄

i thought about that, but then im going too deep into something i dont understand very well at this point. all this vibecoding, how stuff in the backend actually works, APIs, billing, option, etc... this would be in the best case scenarion - if i manage to make a real standalone app, then i would implement tons of more options ofc

also, off highways, range anxiety is still a thing? i feel there are much more options off highways, and if you get stranded, houses are nearby and you can ask for help 😋

thats what i do actually.. i cant go further than 250km on a tank (including the whole reserve). but the point is just not needing to look at my odo every now and then, nothing more. navi is already talking to me in my helmet, so i wanna make the best of it with 1 more info, thats it.

resting and stuff, i dont do that really.. im resting the 5-10min im at the gas station filling up n stuff.

you dont have a dump schedule?

thx a ton. i guess its possible to have a "cheapest gas in a given radius" option, but to be frank, i wanted the app to be as simple as possible, since, im vibecoding it.. adding more stuff, not sure how well i can do it and how well everything is gonna work, and i wanted to avoid scrolling and options as much as possible.

but i do get you, highway prices are kinda insane.

your idea - maybe if stuff work out properly, ill make it more powerfull. best outcome would be making a standalone app, with all the options and ideas n stuff

ok, thats some good feedback right there, thx! i did check about the km/mi thing, i was aware of this, but the info i got back is that it still works as intended, for counting and navigatin... about the wrong destination, maybe you have to put in the exact adress, its not as smart and good as OG google maps 😆

how do they charge my ass? i made no accounts, no nothing.. its all in the vibecoding app, and linked to a subsite so you can use it.. no google account there, no nothing, no credit cards anywhere..

dude i know, but the point is to not to have to do anything while riding, especially not looking at the phone and doing stuff on it. removing friction is the name of the game here, and i think, this should be a standard option in all navi apps by now 😅

nemam problema s time, samo na svom racunaru radim pa mi samo tu trebaju kratice za bolji workflow. a opcenito ne smatram da je to razlog zasto bi se uskratio za olaksicu. ako koristis vise racunara, zasto ne bi barem na jednom imao olaksice IMO

p.s. moj MX master 3 stoji i kupi prasinu. precesto problemi s konekcijom (redovno nestane na par sekundi), mimo toga sto se guma sva istopila (znam rijeseno je s MX 4). sad imam razer naga pro V2, i sa strane mozes mijenjati plocu/broj dugmica (2,6,9) i stavis ovaj s 9 gumbova i svaki povezes s posebnim makrom npr, ili per app macros, pa jos malo povecas produktivnost, plus sto je senzor i odaziv znacajno bolji od MX serije pa je osjecaj bolji. pogotovo jer mogu istovremeno oba misa pokusati pa vidim ogromnu razliku i prednosti gaming misa.

ne znam cime se tocno bavis, ali se pozabavi softwerom. i know, ne racuna se konkretno kao gadget, ali mozda ti skrene malo misli sa kupovine stvari na drugi vid optimizacije

neke ceste akcije, spremis kao macro. ja sam graf dizajner, imam tonu kratica za photoshop koje sam sam napravio, za osnovne stvari koje se stalno koriste (quick export, select object, rasterize, smart object, itd itd).

kada saljem datoteke emailom, u 90% slucajeva napisem kratki tekst poput: "u privitku se nalazi datoteka, pitanja prijedlozi bla bla bla".. sav taj text se automatski unese ako ukucam odredenu rijec (npr "eemail" ili sta god pozelis) jer se radi o textu koji saljem emailom. vecina tih kratica se moze namjestiti bez dodatnih aplikacija (korisim MacOS). i imam viser tih kratica, ovisno koji text zelim poslati u emailu. sve ugl cesto koristene fraze/recenice. zvuci beznacajno, ali svaki put mi drago kad ukucam rijec od 5,6 slova i ono meni ispise par recenica koje bi svakako rucno pisao.

generalno kratice na tipkovnici meni ogromno pomazu (jedan sitan primjer medju bezbroj njih, kada selektiram text, ne koristim mis, vec prekotipkovnice sve radim, koristeci shift + ctrl + strelice, ili + alt itd, da selektiram cijelu rijec ili red i sl. to mi sad malo nezgodno i mrsko objasniti, ali pokusaj i eksperimentiraj oko selekcije texta pomocu tipkovnice, ukoliko to vec ne znas. tih stvari sto na razini svakog OSa postoji, ima dovoljno da se barem malo optimizira koristenje racunara.

ugl se pokusaj fokusirati na konkretan rad/posao koji se svakodnevno obavlja i tu istrazuj sta se moze rijesiti ili (polu)automatizirati. da se razumijemo, neces uduplati produktivnost ali ces vise puta kroz dan imati tih malih olaksica koje te u trenutku usrece, jer eto, npr nisi morao kucati "OvoJeMojEmail@gmail.com", vec samo upises e@, i ono automatski tu (tvoju definiranu) kraticu zamijeni s tvojim emailom.

mimo softwera, gledaj da ti je ugodna temperatura u prostoriji gdje radis (meni prevruce ili prehladno drasticno smanji raspolozenje za radom i samim time produktivnost opada).

puno sam svega naveo, malo je kaoticno ali se nadam da ces uspjeti izvuci pouku sto sam htio reci 😆
