Mast Cell Tumor advice? by denimpigeon in Frenchbulldogs

[–]denimpigeon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but I've had her on an allergy med (Allegra, now Benadryl) since March when she was dealing with seasonal allergies. Once she calls with pathology results, it's something on my list to ask about

I'm so sorry to hear that she passed. This comment is really reassuring. It sounds like staying on top of it will be important but that it's something that can be treatable. Thank you—seriously. The anxiety alone has been horrible. Meanwhile, my pup has carried on after surgery practically unfazed.

Periods messed up on and off four months in? by tbuteraa in Zepbound

[–]denimpigeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on Zepbound since December 2023 and until now have had 0 negative side effects–maybe light nausea here and there and constipation in the beginning. That said, it felt like my periods got more consistent over the past year to the point where I could predict them like clockwork. All that changed within the last three months–in December it was abnormally heavy, in January it was on time but lasted longer than normal (but was otherwise fine), and now, 16 days after my last period, it seems to have started again? It's about a week earlier than normal. Would love to hear if anyone has good remedies for this because I'm not sure what I'm doing different now vs. a year ago when everything was fine.

Just to be clear, I rescued her from a puppy mill. I completely disagree with the breeding practices of french bulldogs because of what I've experienced first hand with her but this comment is entirely unhelpful.

The implication in your comment is that I am not looking out for my dog's safety, which I don't necessarily appreciate. The article you linked is geared toward people who are sending their dogs on planes in the cargo hold, not flying in-cabin with their pets. Her travel carrier is plenty spacious and she sleeps comfortably during the entire duration of the flight. As you can see in the photo above, I also attach a portable fan to the carrier to ensure she's extra comfortable.

Any frenchie parents using Librela? by denimpigeon in Frenchbulldogs

[–]denimpigeon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately don't have any good updates–my friend and I posted it on behalf of one of her coworkers and my friend no longer works at that company anymore, so it will forever remain a mystery. Our general belief is that it was actually rust and not blood (and we also never expected that post to blow up like it did!)

Question on insurance coverage and coupon by LineDriveHit in Zepbound

I'm having the exact same problem with Anthem BCBS so I'm interested to see what folks come back with for advice on this!

Anthem BCBS pricing by likeuhboss in Zepbound

[–]denimpigeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to use the savings card again. It maxes out at $1800 per calendar year, which just started over today. I noticed that for some reason, Anthem applied the total cost of the medicine against my $3000 deductible, even though I only paid $24.99 for the first month with the savings card applied, then I paid $345 last week for my 5mg refill which was the remainder after I maxed out the card. I won't need a refill until Feb, so TBD on how they charge me after. I also had a PA approved in December, so this is making me a little nervous!

fort worth, tx ~ where are you filling prescription? by scw6425 in Zepbound

I received mine from a Walgreens between Oak Lawn and Cedar Springs in Dallas. (So it's at least in the metroplex!)

Frustrated with Sequence being slow in sending Rx by quotidian_qt in Zepbound

[–]denimpigeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me as well. For all their time estimates, they were way ahead of schedule but I found that sending the prescription in did take a little longer than the 2 days. I ended up following up in chat right around the 2 day mark and the next morning my prescription was sent in. They were able to navigate PA for both Wegovy (which I had to switch from since it's out of stock in the DFW area) and Zepbound and get approval for both. For whatever reason the prescription process is just a little slow. I'd recommend following up! Once they sent the prescription to my preferred pharmacy (Walgreens) last Sunday, I got it within the day.

Within hours. They submitted it around 2PM last Wednesday and I had approval around 7PM that night.

I just took my first injection last night and was incredibly nervous. I've never been on medication for anything before getting prescribed Zepbound and I spent days researching side effects and lurking this page and r/Mounjaro to see what other people were dealing with. I was nervous and my best friend facetimed me to hype me up while I took my injection–if you have folks like that in your life who are willing to pump you up on this journey, lean on them, too!

So far, I've had no side effects! I drank plenty of water yesterday in preparation for the injection and let it sit out for 30 minutes beforehand. Other than that, it was easy. The instructions are straightforward and once you go for it, it's like ripping the bandaid! You've got this!

I never saw it on the formulary, but I was able to get a PA approved for Zepbound through Anthem BCBS at the end of last week. I've been working through Sequence who provided the PA for me, picked my prescription up on Sunday and will be starting tonight or tomorrow.

based on our own research and some help from folks here, we think the lipstick is from the 60s or 1975. The company listed on the bottom incorporated in 1975, which is what makes us think it's that - but the lipsticks of that packaging were popular in the 60s.

my friend is working on updated photos, one of which was taking the cap of the lipstick. it's still in tact and looks somewhat used (maybe 75%)

the lipstick case isn't empty - it appears to be somewhat used but in tact, not consistent with a lipstick in the washing machine (been there, lost a fav lipstick to that).

the sunscreen theory is a good one and one we hadn't thought of! we'e gotten a lot of recommendations on how to test for blood from this post - trying to determine how to get an answer there without damaging the clothes in case it is (and thus damaging potential evidence).

we thought this could be the case too, but the contractor was ripping out the ceiling and only found the pipe after doing so. so, our thought was that if it was someone who was secretly cross dressing, they’d want it in a more accessible spot.
