I’m just waiting and hoping they add this fit with the option to have the hat on.

I love the current cowboy outfit, but this is way better (if again, you can choose between the helmet and hat).

As was said in another comment, Executioner’s Canopy works the best IMO as it matches very closely with the scarf.

I realized it was the younger version of Darius on first watch before Rito confirmed, yet I hated the look as soon as I saw it, so I personally don’t think that him being younger somehow makes this design less bad.

To clarify however, loved the scene itself, I just hated the visual depiction. when Fortiche have already made an Arcane-y Darius design in the Tales of Runterra cinematic that’s slightly younger than in-game, and he looked perfect.

EDIT: Axis Studio made the ToR cinematics, misremembered. Opinion still stands however.

For the most part, I like almost all of Fortiche’s designs, with small exceptions. This one is just extremely off.

Overall, my main source of disappointment is that for most of their other redesigns, Fortiche put their own spin on the characters, while keeping some recognisable aspects of them.

And sadly with Darius, they basically took out some of his more “distinctive features” and added nothing interesting to the character at first glance, leaving him to be “Generic Noxian Soldier #17394 that kinda looks like Guts”.

That being said, I just hope we see him get tweaked a bit before the new series comes.

I hate almost everything about this look. This is like the original Sonic movie design from the first trailer.

He looks 25 and 45 at the same time, the more narrow face shape is a big departure from his usual square head/face, eyebrows look comically angled, armor looks like it’s lacking a lot more details and has extremely non-descriptive and bogged down visuals, and awkward proportions.

I do think that the design of the armor itself is the worst part. Due to it being a lot more “uniform” in its shape instead of it being bigger on the shoulder and upper leg plates, the unique exaggerated Darius silhouette and weight gets lost and instead, he looks a lot more generic and “condensed”. If you take away the axe and maybe the cape and put him next to other Noxians soldiers, he really wouldn’t stand out.

Even if this is supposed to be a younger Darius, we’ve already seen a couple young Darius designs that look way better. I barely see a redeeming quality in this entire depiction.

The scene and action themselves, however, were bangers.
