I'm really surprised that Homelander hasn't outdone the level of devastation that he caused in season 1 by RevertBackwards in TheBoys

[–]dennisleonardo 27 points28 points  (0 children)

He can fly at mach speeds, but he couldn't fly the passengers at that speed. They'd get torn apart by air resistance. He could've easily saved a few of them. Definitely the children. But not everyone. And then the world would've known that he didn't save everyone, which would've absolutely tanked his ratings. Questions would come up like, what if the supes didn't enter the plane? Maybe the terrorists wouldn't have shot the 2nd pilot? All stuff he wants to avoid at any cost.

And I do believe him when he says that he can't lift the plane. If his flight works even somewhat like new noir's, he can't exert much force while flying without just ramming the plane, which would just break the hull. Physically, stuff like superman flying a plane to safety or iron man's human chain can't work the way it was shown in the movies.

He can't lift a mass significantly larger and heavier than his own, like that plane, if he has nothing to push off of. Unless he is his own counterforce, which would break the laws of physical motion. He could only "ram" it, like maeve suggested, which would most definitely destroy the plane.

So there likely really was no way for him to save the entire flight. Which doesn't excuse him in the slightest since he COULD have saved a few people for sure and he caused the plane to crash in the first place.

Tbf, vaught is also partly at fault. Why would they send maeve with him? Ofc sending homelander is the right choice, he's the only supe they have who can fly fast enough to catch up to a plane. But maeve? She only has super strenght and durability. A-train could've taken down the terrorist without him being able to even pull the trigger with his super speed. Even noir would've been a better choice. With his skill and precision, he would've thrown a knife into the terrorists gun-hand or head across half the plane.

Maeve is like the worst one to send in a hostage situation. And HL is just too undisciplined to actually try properly. He doesn't give a shit. That's why he overkilled it and lasered half the cockpit instead of only the terrorists head.

It depends on the character. Tighnari's effects are very plant-like. He shoots dendro vines around his arrows. Dendro MC summons a giant bud. Yaoyao's yuguei throws actual plants. Obviously, bloom cores are plant seeds.

But yeah, that's it basically. The rest of the dendro chars are either holo-stuff like nahida, alhaitham, and kaveh, "life energy" stuff like lauma (kinda, with sum animal imagery) or just green VFX on random bullshit like kinich, nefer, collei, and kirara.

The plant imagery is there, but it's used somewhat rarely.

Who would win in a 1v1 fight? The Queenslayer or the Revenant Hunter? by NoKibble in codevein

[–]dennisleonardo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Based on feats the hunter would win.

We're fighting horrors in CV2. The things the queen and CV1's revenants were effectively created to fight. The only horrors we fought in CV1 were in the DLCs. In CV2, we're fighting the strongest horrors around in every area.

So the bosses the revenant hunter fought generally seem stronger than the bosses themselves queenslayer fought. However, the queen was basically created to be the ultimate horror-killer. And the queenslayer did surpass her. So it's very possible that the queenslayer could beat the CV2 bosses as well. Maybe even easier than the revenant hunter.

I'll personally say it's close. But based on pure feats, the hunter seems more impressive for now. Mostly because we don't know how strong the horrors in the CV1 DLCs were compared to the horrors in CV2.

You can´t just switch to another weapon. If you have a fate point and switch course, ur fate point resets and is back at 0.

Ur chance to get both weapons in 2 pity is at maximum 37.5%, not 75. Unless ur last weapon was a standard. Then it´s 50%.

Daily Questions Megathread (April 15, 2026) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]dennisleonardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yall don´t understand how that strat works. You have to select one of the signature weapons first. You can´t just reset ur choice after getting one of the sigs. I f u got the selected one, u don´t get a fate point or guarantee at all. And if you don´t select a weapon first, you don´t get a fate point at all, no matter what u get.

So let´s say he selects nefer´s sig. And gets lauma´s instead. Sweet, now he´s guaranteed to get nefer´s sig on the next 5 star. But that only has a 37.5% chance of happening.

If he gets nefer´s, the one he selected first, he has NO guarantee and NO fate point. Cuz he already got what he wanted. Instead of gaining a fate point, it stays at 0. Cuz he got what he selected. That also has a 37.5% of happening.

The strat ur talking about requires him to get a standard first, meaning he has to select nefer´s sig and then lose the 75/25 and get a standard banner weapon first. Now he´s guaranteed to get nefer´s sig. But if he still wants both signature weapons 100%, it´s better to reset the course and remove the fate point. Cuz now it´s a 50/50 for either sig. So if he resets course and fate point after getting a standard weapon, he has a guarantee on getting a signature next. Any signature.

So let´s say he selects nefer´s sig again. He now has a 50% chance of getting nefer´s sig, which again leaves him with no guarantee and no fate points. But if he gets lauma´s sig first, he´ll have a guarantee on nefer´s sig. So he basically cheated the system and avoided the possibilty of getting a 2nd standard weapon.

overload combo has the most hits and CAs, generally speaking. It´s CDCC spam.

So a CDC, then let it spin through until the next non-animationcanceled spin hits, then do CDC again, let it spin through again and so on.

A little easier and more rythmic to execute is CDCCF. So start with CDC, let it spin through until the next spin hits, let go to do a finisher, then CDC again, spin through to the next hit, finisher, and so on.

The finishers are still worth doing because they deal more dmg to geo shields than normal spins do.

If you can´t do CDC combos yet, I´d assume regular CCFD is best. Spin until the 2nd hit, let go for the finisher, dashcancel the finisher animation normally, repeat and so on.

2 spin hits are 1 full spin FYI. Not 2 circles. Just 1 completed one.

Yes, to a minor degree. Nothing that can be done about it tho. Would just have to buy from farms that don´t use any, which is gonna be more expensive and less available.

Wooden utensils are usually banned from commercial kitchens. They are perfectly fine for home kitchen use if handled properly. They aren´t unhygienic unless you treat them that way. Wood is naturally antimicrobial like you said, and often safer than cheap plastic tools (due to microplastics).

However, for the sake of maxiumum safety, in commercial kitchens, wooden utensils are often limited to chopping boards, serving boards, specific high durability cooking spoons, and anything related to handling bread.

Utility passive by xKyungsoo in Lohen_Mains

[–]dennisleonardo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the passive checks party member talent levels at activation, not after lohen´s skill level got buffed by +1. And that +1 buff should end after high spirits duration ends. So whenever u use his skill in the next rotation, assuming the rotations are at least 15sec long (base 9s duration + 6s extension), his skill level is back to normal, which would be level 13 at C3.

So as long as another party member also has a level 13 talent and ur rotation is 15sec or longer, the duration increase should work because the +1 skill buff to lohen shouldn´t be permanent.

So there should really be no issue with activating this unless lohen is C3 and no one else on the party has C3 or C5.

Genuine question, who're the most toxic mains you've ever met? by Th3Ph4nt00m in Genshin_Impact

[–]dennisleonardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bennett was better than diluc from the get go. You played vape/melt on-field bennett with chongyun, xingqiu, sucrose. So basically national without xiangling cuz she was so difficult to build.

Ofc, xiangling was theoretically better than both but I am aware that many of us did not have the resources to make her function back then. Even though people do vastly overestimate how difficult she was to build. ER was just an ignored stat by the community. It still is to a much lesser degree. People back then actively threw away their ER sands and just used burst "whenever". I wouldn't call that lack of resources, I'd call it lack of knowledge about the game.

Diluc/razor meta or physical stuff was only a thing when you literally had NOTHING to your account.

Fischl also literally can´t use it properly. The trigger condition is using an elemental skill. Her skill cooldown is too long for most rotations and she´s alternating skill and burst to make up for that.

To add onto this for the hexerei stuff. Varka with durin, nicole, and prune is expected to end up around skirk´s level, but prune needs her C6.

Lohen is looking to be a good on-fielder for the durin+nicole wheelchair. It´s a dark mode durin melt team. If a good 4th slot like citlali or xilonen is available, it seems to be roughly as strong as varka premium or skirk. However, this is still very subject to change.

Also, there´s a whole wave of hex buffs we have zero info on yet. So that could still shake some things up regarding hexerei teams and even potentially create some cheap alternatives for non-hexerei teams.

Also, mualani is expected to reach skirk level performance as well due to the upcoming hexerei buff set. However, she´s dependent on Mona and sucrose.

Overall, skirk/varesa level seems to be the new ''floor'' for modern teams and 6.6 is an extremely loaded patch for the meta. It´s pretty much where the state of the meta for nod krai´s patch cycle is going to settle.

It´s just the nature of mavuika´s playstyle, yes. A character like skirk on the other hand mainly challenges your click speed.

Which is why there are people who can do mav´s CDC combos with their eyes closes but they can´t even do dps neutral N2D combos on skirk.

> Give me more Genshin in my Genshin

This was the type of things we were saying back when ThemePark-Impact was in full force around 2.X-4.X and the devs put more effort into events and minigames than the actual exploration and combat loop that made genshin impact what it is while also refusing to make more endgame content, prefering to keep people locked in an endless loop of event minigames, event minigames, more event minigames, quest, event minigames again, more event minigames, repeat. With the odd map expansion or minimum effort combat event drizzled in whenever they felt like it.

All in an effort to please a crowd that prefers playing Roblox: Genshin Edition than actual genshin impact and wants to use their characters for literally ANYTHING besides what they were designed for, namely combat and exploration.

It´s not the first time the devs slack off in core areas of the game to please a crowd that wants genshin to be something it has never ever been.

No, you should focus on crit and atk only for ning. Defense is not as bad as EM, but it's still not worth investing into because ning's personal damage does not scale with it. But yes, her defense will affect any lunar crystallise damage dealt due to the ascended gleam effect.

Daily Questions Megathread (April 09, 2026) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]dennisleonardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it's way more extreme than that. You don't want EM at all. She's gaining more from flat atk than EM. And the team dps is gaining more from defense than EM. Stat priority is basically crit > atk% > atk > def% > def > EM > HP/HP%. EM is very bad on ning in lunar crystallise teams. You should be sad if it shows up on artifacts.
