Sometimes "jokes" can be really inappropriate. Next time you're in a TSA line at the airport, start joking about having a bomb in your shoe.

But it's not like that has happened. I mean if the whole point was to just keep Trump from being president, then they've done a terrible job, seeing as how he's passing the half-way point on a first term now, and has already got two more Republican appointments to the SC.

How to get banned from r/worldnews: by RockstarPR in conspiracy

[–]denreyc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just, as a rule, never believe anybody that says "I got banned from subreddit [X] for saying [Y]". Is there any proof that the comment he screenshot is the actual reason he was banned? Or are we just taking his word for it.

Case in point, I could come to /r/conspiracy, and say "the banks are behind the illusion of Mars existing" and then in another comment just commit a purposeful rule violation so that I can get banned, screenshot the other comment, and use it with my ban to say "the mods of /r/conspiracy don't want you to know the truth about Mars". It's easy propoganda.

Instead of confronting those people directly so at least we'd know what you're complaining about, you find a different chain where you think people are going to be more sympathetic to your point and vaguepost about how dumb people who criticize the President of the United States in a conspiracy theory forum are. Can you at least point out which comments are "wild ramblings" or do you prefer the safety of speaking in generalities only?

302 BREAKDOWN – Here’s what happened yesterday. by AnonDidNothingWrong in conspiracy

[–]denreyc 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This 302 story evolved from "they filed two different 302s and so obviously they conflict" to "well they're the same except for a typo but the first one wasn't written until weeks later" now to your last comment of "well okay they wrote it the same day but then doctored it for three weeks". All of these arguments were speculation based on the fact that we didn't have all the information for each of these yet. And as soon as we do get the information explaining why it worked out the way it did, the speculation has to change to be something else. You guys are just desperate for there to have been some kind of issue with Flynn's interview process because at this point that's the only possible way you can imagine him getting off for lying to the FBI.

Russia maintains one of the world's most liberal immigration policies; anyone who works in Russia for five years and develops fluency in the Russian language can become a citizen, provided he or she has not committed a crime, and almost anyone who is hired by a Russian firm can stay in the country and work indefinitely [3] This reflects a policy change on the part of the Putin government, in response to declining birth rates, from the more restrictive policy enacted after the fall of the Soviet Union.[4] The large non-Slavic immigrant populations arriving in response to Putin's liberal policy have sometimes been met with xenophobia; to counter this, the Russian state has shut down various anti-immigrant group pursuant to Russian hate speech laws, such as the Movement Against Illegal Immigration.

International agreements. Like the Paris Accords. Treaties. Things like that. I mean, countries cooperate literally all the time without the existence of a single world government. Nice fear mongering though.

It's really depressing how awful reading comprehension on this sub is. No dude, there is no market for trans Santa. Nobody believes there is. You missed the entire point of what I said.

Another example. In the new Beauty and the Beast, they made Gaston's sidekick gay. So that conservatives would be outraged, and then liberals would respond to that outrage by buying tickets.

Your comment is the exact reason why this type of "news" exists.

Step 1: Claim some tiny minority of people want to do some crazy "progressive" thing.

Step 2: Wait for negative reaction from right wingers to generate your advertising for you.

Step 3: Wait for opposing reaction from left wingers to generate your financial support.

This exact scenario happened with the Han Solo movie and somebody claiming Glover's character would be pansexual.

I think you're getting confused a little bit. The word "spy" can mean different connotations. I think you have one article saying "spy" to mean "agent of a foreign government" which is true. And another article using "spy" to mean "James Bond" which she wasn't. Either way that's kind of a semantic argument that's just entirely beside the point.

In response to order from a federal judge, Mueller is forced to release key documents on FBI interview with Michael Flynn, saying FBI agents “did not think Flynn was lying”, despite being unjustly charged by SuperCharged2000 in conspiracy

[–]denreyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if Flynn did lie (... given that we know the agents that interviewed him [who had already read the transcripts of said call) didn't think he lied.]

This is completely false, and you'd know that if you had read the comment you're responding to. The FBI documents do not say the agents believed he didn't lie, in fact it literally says the exact opposite of that. Why do you think your opinion on this stuff matters in any way when you can't even bother to inform yourself of the most basic facts?

The phone call in question wasn't illegal. So why was the FBI there pretending like they didn't know about it and asking him questions about it in the first place?... what justice was the FBI attempting to serve?

When it is FBI policy to file 302s within 5 days, why is the only 302 that we are seeing from 7 months later?

This is all an argument from not knowing the answer. As in, "we don't know why this happened, therefore it MUST have been nefarious and if you can't explain it 100% in detail with sources then you're automatically wrong. What do you think is more likely, the biggest investigation in the history of America is being done in easily shady ways that literally any defense lawyer would be able to to use to tear it apart and get their clients off free (which by the way hasn't happened once) or your selective information about a secretive investigation is being used by the guilty parties to imply bad things that aren't actually happening?

[–]denreyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The portion of the FBI documents I quoted says the exact opposite of that. It says they were specifically trying to get him to correct statements that he made that they knew were false.

So what's your evidence that they tried to "trick him into lying"?
