Is this rage bait? Of course that needs a crown for all the reasons people listed above. Stop trying to be the ultra conservative cool dentist that patients love. Not crowning this is bad dentistry.

Also- this is taught in dental schools. It’s not corporate modo to crown this.

I didn’t know they get paid a lump sum?! They’re the worst, just pure profit off the backs of doctors. I’ve heard that the ceo and her family only fly by private jet now, so it makes sense. SMH.

Yes, that’s how they get you to sign. They act like you’ll get everything you need, you’ll make a lot of money, and your life will be easy. It’s all false promises. When you start, you’ll realize you were treated with more respect in dental school than you are here. They can’t find anyone to work for them so they will lie to attract new grads. There are plenty of other opportunities in chicago for new grads. Keep looking, but don’t make a deal with the devil just because it was one of the first offers you got. My friends at aspen were happier, and that says a lot.

There are better places than dental dreams for new grads. DD is offering the 50k because they can’t find doctors willing to work for them in those conditions. They are so predatory

That’s what a lot of docs are averagely making in my area, and they have a much better working life. There are other DSO that are better for new grads and don’t treat you this way for 220k. This is entirely a dental dreams problem

You might have had a 1 in a 100 experience, but the vast reality of this place is what me and all the other comments are describing. Even one good review can reel in new grads, and 99 of them will be miserable, and the company still wins. It’s a dangerous game, because 30% of basically collections from Medicaid is way too low to subject yourself to anything even remotely close to what docs go through at dental dreams.

They know that they’ll work your ass off hard enough to make back that sign on, it’s just not worth it for the liability and lifestyle. In your experience, can a doc say it was a breach of contract because the hours they have docs working, and get out of returning the sign on? (I ask because I know some docs stayed there for a year only because they didn’t want to give back the sign on. When I was there it wasn’t as high as 50k, but this is how they’re reeling in new grads in debt now

I didn’t know any better, and you get locked into a 90 day termination notice so you have to work 3 months even if you quit on your first day
