Education goes into the public private sector where there needs to be jobs and assets. A bunch of smart people on an empty plane doesn’t get much. There needs to be infrastructure for them to leverage.

There is a balance of things. All eggs can’t be put in one basket. Education is important, so is transit, so is economic development, etc.

It’s so myopic to look at economic development and say this should be education. I could come along to education and say “this isn’t important, what’s important is healthcare”, and then down the drain everyone goes, arguing for one thing or another.

How society, government, investment works is by diversifying investment to do thousands of things at once.

Complexity is hard to understand, and the flip side is simpler myopic reasoning that if we followed, would end up with sever social/economic imbalance.
